What a preview!...
I've not read all of it yet, but the amount of dedication and information presented is once again superb!
And the units looks great - once again!
Thanks EBII team!
I have to get a new keyboard and a voicebox, because I drooled all over and short circuited the former, and am left speechless thus requiring the latter. Thank you EB team.
Think you know about military arms, planes, ships and aircraft? Come and join this thread!!

God I will enjoy playing ast these guys!
First, awesome preview guys. I've read something like...a quarter of this, and it is pure amazing. The units in particular are godly.
But I'm wondering: how many factions will be able to use these guys? If I, as the Romani, establish a Civitates Liberae or a Client State in the Areuakoi starting area, will I be able to recruit a full allied army, or will I only be able to recruit light levies, like in EB? If I decide to be magnanimous to the defeated, will I be able to recruit my Phoenician subjects in North Africa, or is it destined that I have to completely expunge them, and only recruit local Numidians and Maures and the like? It was kind of disappointing in EB that you have to conquer north-western Hispania to get any good auxiliaries, while the Qarthadastim can recruit whatever Iberian soldiers they want.
I know Rome wasn't known for full-blown mercenary armies, but I've heard (from the Teaching Company lecture series "Rome and the Barbarians") that the Romans used large numbers of Iberians and Celtiberians not only in Hispania, but elsewhere in the wars of the Republic.
I know I've focused on Rome, but other factions would like access to Iberian soldiers as well, such as the Aedui and Arverni, who could, again, only recruit units worth mentioning in the far northern regions of Hispania, and had to make due with light spearmen and infantry in the rest of the peninsula.
Edit: I know this is the wrong preview for this, but North Africa was another "Blank Spot" as it were, in terms of allied soldiers. The mercenary pools were extensive, but only Qarthadast could recruit any really good, heavy units in the region. No matter who conquers the region, it's as if the urban Phoenician population just up and migrated to the other side of the Sahara or something.

That was one hell of a preview!!!
Eagerly Awaiting Europa Barbarorum II !!!!
Wonderful, splendorous, magnificent, majestic and beautiful. This is how previews are supposed to be done. If CA would do faction reviews like this for rome 2, well I would pre order a game for the first time. Sincerely guys this is, beyond words. You are making an entirely new game. The only reward you get is the praise from us, the players. Also the experience ofcourse. I have wasted hours on EB1 and I can see I will be wasting many more hours on this. I really enjoyed this and all your previous previews. If I "could" pre order this mod I would. Keep in mind you would be popping my pre order cherry. I have the utmost faith in every one working on this. I wish I could contribute some how. Anywho I really hope the EB crew knows we will all wait. We will wait till rome 3 for this mod. We do not want an unfinished project. Thank you red and thanks to every one else working on this.
Just...
Just magnifique. ;.;
Hope it gets finished guys! good work
=]

I hope the forst EBII version will be released before Rome 2 comes out in October...
