Proud member of the SPQR TW communityOLD SOLDIERS NEVER DIEVeni, Vidi,Vinci - Gaius Julius Caesar...
So many goodies!
Some day I'll actually write all the reviews I keep promising...
Excellent and admirable preview as always and as usual guys! Put aside the game even reading all those Celtiberian related sources are a small fortune of knowledge alone!
Europa Barbarorum I changed the whole story on many aspects of how a TW game should be designed and be fun to play in the meantime. Your efforts and dedication is a milestone and even a beacon for any serious modder.
TBH we can't thank you enough for what you did in past and what you do now.
Hats off and godspeed!

Saw this yesterday and thought "Why isnt this on the front page???!", Good to know its up now.
Sweet the Arevaci! These guys were a major thorn in the side of the Romani and it'll be great to replay their rise to power in Spain.(Might even take it a bit further and rebuild the Crown of Aragon two-thousand years early.)

What a great preview, i imagine only the work for the preview is a real burden! THANK YOU ALL for this awesome thing here!!!
1648 Der Dreißigjährige Krieg, out now
Wonderfull preview as always but I'm not sure about the Iberi Equites Scutariiand cavalry in general. I'm quiet sure that it's nearly impossible to ride a horse with that large shield due to its weight and the air resistance. I'm not an expert but I suppose the shield was only use for dismounted fight and when the warrior is mounted, the shield should be on the rider back or on the horse side.
I think that i've seen some screen for Rome II where shows cavalry men with the shield on the back which is more logical.
In my opinion no ancient cavalry should not be able to use shields riding, maybe only some very small fixed on the arm but not large shields.
Great preview as always.
Brilliant work and the faction! ... great choice!

Amazing as always. I eagerly await more. I only wish I had even a little bit of the expertise you require to help speed up the project.
My respect to those who did the work and spent the time putting together this preview and this faction. I read every word with pleasure!
Definitely putting this faction into my top 5 first to be played factions.

i dont even want R2:TW anymore. give me EB2 and i will die happy!
great preview and great job for all involved. will wait patiently for the full release.![]()
Idiots, Idiots never change.
Excellent preview. Props to the EB team for their hard work and efforts.
I hope that any interested programmers or scripters considering a career in the game industry will volunteer their time for this project - it'll definitely stand out in their portfolio. The remaining EBII programmers have graciously agreed to continue working on the mod. But the workload they have to deal with is such that, without help we cannot say when Europa Barbarorum II will be complete. Like you, we want to see a day when the Europa Barbarorum II forum is full of screenshots, AARs and discussions about the campaign, rather than simply speculation. But for that to become a reality we need experienced programmers. We need:
- scripters for tackling the large amount of traits in EDCT and ancillaries in EDA
- scripters for coding the buildings trees and complex recruitment options in EDB
- scripters for coding the campaign_script, where all the historical accuracy of EB II comes to life
It is important to have modders with experience in the M2TW engine, for this assignment, especially for the traits, which are extremely complex. We need people who are willing to spend several hours a week tackling these issues. We must stress we need experienced programmers; we do simply do not have the resources available to tutor people in scripting.

A great preview! Also regarding the barbarian tiers, will this mean the sweboz would be limited to tier one or will they build oppidums as well?
Amazing first class preview, or ... rather history-class
Rome 2 developers should take lessons with EBII previews.
If my free time wouldn't be that limited, i would very like to join your coding team, ie. in particular to help with the tech-tree (edb). However, i'll try to keep an eye on the EBII development, and who knows, maybe i get some time in future to help out.
Anyways, hope you succeed with the EBII plans.

What's really more disappointing than dis-information and non-education?
A certain degree of intentional ignorance paired with obvious stupidy /DV
Fascinating read. +rep.
I'm a programmer with some time on his hands at the moment but sadly not an experienced scripter of M2TW, which is what you seem to need. Frustrating as I'm a fan and still play EB occasionally. If anyone does know of suitable way to learn the relevant skills, drop me a line. I'd hate to see this project run out of steam before completion!! Come on scripters, pile in and help.
P.S> Great preview btw.
an awesome work !
Amazing research, beautiful units. Wow!
