    Icon7 Guide editing Campaign map

    Assuming that you have acquired a copy of 3dsmax2013.

    The first thing you do is go to Raw_Data\
    Empire_Design\Campaign_Maps\Sho_Japan.

    open up 3dsmax (click on the 3dsmaxscenefile) go to Tools : Manage Layers
    as you can see much of the map is under hide status and/or freeze status deselect those buttons

    Now you are able to edit trade routes also at sea/nodes being able to select those thus be able to edit those.

    First post busy with pictures for this tutorial. ^^

    where are we supposed to find raw_data; looked everywhere can't find it :S

    Dowload the modding tool, open the modding.rar and unrar its content (it contains what you are looking for).
    Disclaimer: the post above is way way prealpha, the final version will be way better than this.

    okay, i was looking into how to split some large provinces into smaller ones, thus creating more provinces and ended up here, am i one the right track; also can you please provide a link with the tool; silly me, i tried to download elsewhere and ended up with 1 software of 5gb, it has the same name but that cant be it right;

    Look into the Tools section in Steam. You can't get it elsewhere.

    You will also want to get familiar with 3ds max.
