    Icon1 [WIP] Antiqua Europa - RTW 1.5

    ANTIQUA EUROPA



    Prolouge:

    Antiqua Europa is a german modification for Rome: Total War (1.5/1.6), that runs on the Alexander engine. It's completly modfolderd, so the changed will not interfere with the original Vanilla Game and will be compatible with other, modfoldered Mods.

    Time period:

    This mod is set in the classical Era (nothing special an new to you all - ) and starts in 275 BC when Rome was in Conflict with Pyrrhus Aiakides. The end date is at the moment in 14 CE.

    Features:

    *all factions are playable and will be completly overhauled
    *this Mod based on the "My_Mod files" from Finch ( Thank you! )
    -the files contains the Mundus Magnus Map by ngr ( Thank you! )
    -
    new ground textures took from Medieval 2 Total War
    -Night battles are available
    -beatiful new Skies for the battlemap by HorseArcher ( Thank you! )
    -and Pinarius' better Horses by Pinarius ( Thank you! )*new buildings will be available (for example for recruitment and government)
    *and of course (an here i want give a big THANK YOU) new units - they will come from various sources, so for example ferres' Legions and other cultures and Algaman's beautiful work and several reskins from mine, based on ferres and Algaman's Models.

    Ok sorry, but I think the title says that the Mod is Work In Progress. (WIP)

    So dude, the mod isn't released, it's in development.

    Edit: Sorry for no first screenies, haven't a lot time. Real life, work, stress, family and so on.

    By the way. As I say in the first post, I could need hobby modders with a lil' bit time and experience in editing and so on. Would be very lucky about that!

    Ahw yeah - sorry for my bad english spelling... When I was learning english in school, I had better english knowledge Since there it's a few years ago

    First preview

    Eastern kingdoms:

    The name "eastern kingdoms" do not specify an unique faction, it is much more or less an "superfaction" which is spread over the eastern part of the map and represent many "mini"-factions, since the RTW engine does not allow us to have more than 21 factions.

    The "mini"-factions in detail:

    -the arabian kingdom of Saba


    -tribe of Saka-Rauka (historically a nomad faction)


    -the kingdoms of Kush and Aethiopia


    -Mauryan Kingdom


    -Kingdom of Media-Atropatene


    -Palmyran kingdom


    -Kingdom of Bithynia


    So, with this kind of representing there are 7 new "mini"-factions implemented.

    You need some campaign pictures.

    Also I wouldnt have a Confederation of Gallic tribes faction. Better to have individual gallic tribe factions. Like an Averni and Aedui faction. Or one Gallic faction and the rest controlled by a rebel faction. Either one world wide rebel minor faction tribe or a Celtic Minor faction that represents all the other factions and tribes in the celtic sphere.

    You could also have a Thracian state - the Odrysian Kingdom.

    Ok, thank you both for your suggestions, I will think about it!
    @MathiasOfAthens: The Odrysian Kingdom sounds interesting but I think it's quite enough if there is only Dacia in that region. I think I will convert the Thracians to the kingdom of Bactria, to fill out the gap in the east. If there is no used space between India and the Seleucid empire, the seleucids will steamroll over the whole east in a few turns since the AI is so pretty dumb!

    I could need help with the units and text editing, maybe later with scripting.
    With the units I mean specifically the reskinning for the 2 new factions: Epeiros & Baktria.
    I thought about reskinning ferres macedon units for epeiros and for baktria the seleucid units + persian elements.
    For the barbarian factions (gaul, germans, britons) I search new units.
