Welcome Citizens to what we hope will be both a monumental success, but also great fun. I am sure many of you know you are part of a House through your patron, yet you don't really know what the House does, but its time to rally to the banner of your CVRIAL family.
This is the launch of the TWC House Cup, where members of their respective houses will capture points across the site, with the ultimate aim of being the victor. In every TWC Competition from Gaming to Pictures of the Month, the CAT will track the winners, and if they happen to be a member of the CVRIA, the House will be allocated a set of points. At the end of the period, the House with the most points wins.
Yet it is not just pure points, we will also be hopefully reinvigorating the Symposium, organise competitions in Garb's Fight Club, and with the help of Gaming Staff have a few fun tournaments on our beloved games as well.
So what do you need to do?
1. If there isn't one already, form a House thread which will serve as the Headquarters, have a list of membership, and have some form of governance, whether its the whole House as a committee or with a smaller Executive determined by the House. We imagine some Houses are already organised in some way already.
2. Once you have a thread, sign up here listing at least 10 members of the House, and the CAT will decide whether to grant you a position as a House, or as a Sub-House within one of the larger ones.
3. This will last for 2 weeks, then the fun shall begin.
We look forward to awarding the first House Cup in the Future.
Much love,
The CAT and Gaming Staff

Reason: Gone through it
Presumably he means if a Citizen belonging to a House wins the (already existing, no?) Picture of the Month competition, they'll get some points added to their House for it.
That'll be the one he meant, then. Whenever a winner for that is announced, the CAT will check what House they are in and award points if they're in one.
That is my understanding anyway. I don't think they're allowed to make a new PoM competition.
I don't think Juvenal or I approved such a move for the existing PotW. How many times am I going to have to remind the CAT to take its paws off of Content initiatives? Please clarify what this 'Picture of the Month' is, Major.
My patience is wearing dangerously thin.

I'd remove "and Gaming Staff", because we're helping facilitate some games competitions rather than taking an active part in managing the House system. The Houses and their operation remain a Curial affair, Gaming and its operation remains a Gaming Staff affair. Neither group are involved in the operation of the other.
Legio, we are not creating a new competition, I got it muddled with the PotW thing.
Basically if a citizen wins a competition anywhere on the site, points will go to his house, Content doesn't have to do anything, just the CAT will watch results. We don't interfere at all with running of initiatives, we just use the results to run the House Cup.
You will ask Content before using anything from it (even competition results) for your own initiatives.
PM me and Juvenal with a proposal for this and we will discuss it. I am very disappointed that you saw fit to include PotW without consulting anyone first. Until you have sent us that PM and we have reached a decision, I am not allowing any mention of any Content competition, or any factoring of Content-operated leaderboards, to be used in this House affair.
Until further notice keep all mention of "all hosted site competitions" or anything that implies Content out. We'll let you guys know if/when we'd like to be included in this.
I like the house idea in the CAT. I'd say that the houses should be Wilpuri, Caesar and Siblesz. For a fourth house you could just group up the remaining houses as the Coalition House
So sorting the families out how are we looking? Anything I can do let me know, I have no idea how to start it but if someone points me in the right direction. Afterwards we can get some ideas for activities going as well.
So far we have Wilpuri and Caesars, and as Hader/Rahl etc are young we pretty much have them. Im still for a sign up thread where houses can be organised/catalogued to work out the size
Okay, so the one snag hitting this project is our uncertainty over the identity of the teams. Wilpuri and Caesars are more than large enough to support teams, so no problems there, but can the smaller houses realistically compete? I think we do need some type of 'sign-up sheet', as suggested in the OP, or some other way to determine potential interest and predict how the teams will form.
