    All of the clans have varied OS assigned to them based loosely on how I interpreted the daimyo's military leadership style in books I've read. Try a few clans and you'll see the differences.

    Thanks for that update Haz. I'm gunna play Chosokabe and try out Vassle OS. Maybe you could say in main page what the 9 main factions use as standard for a OS " Cosokabe uses Vassle OS, Shimazu and Mori use Clan OS, Hojo uses Provicial and the rest are Millatary OS." something like that, so numbnut people like me can just plug and play anyway I'm gunna give it a hammering all weekend.

    I seem to be have an issue starting a game with this mod. I tried loading the game with the MBS and Sinfona file checked, but I'm just getting the game freezing on campaign loadup. I've removed any extra mods, but i'm still getting the same problem. Any ideas?

    would it be possible to show what factions use which system in the "faction traits' section? That way we would just now from the get go.

    You need to have at least the following packs in your data folder:

    MBS_Base_Tweak_TROM
    MBS_Locfile_text
    MBS_Primary_mod
    MBS_Startpos

    plus any addins you want from the other zip file.

    Do you have these in there and does that fix your problem?

    I have added the whole clan list with their default OS settings to the second post in this thread.

    Of course you can go into the Primary mod pack (factions_table) and change the settings to your own liking too.

    Is that what you were wanting or did you want something in-game to show that?
    I don't know where the "faction traits" section is within the game files. Do you?

    I would assume in the vanilla loc file somewhere but I am too busy bug stomping to go looking for it.

    I don't think that is it FB_Bob. I need the location where it lists the Faction Abilities (IE: Hojo are Master Builders, Hattori are ninja specialists, Mori are expert sailors, etc.) on the faction selection screen. If I list the faction OS there it would look better I think.

    And how would you like for me to state which default OS the faction uses:

    Default OS: PROVINCIAL
    Default OS: CLAN
    etc. ?

    *We need to keep it simple yet make sure the player knows that if they changed the default OS in the tables the start screen for the faction won't be correct... so maybe state something like:

    Default OS: PROVINCIAL
    (May be different if player makes changes)

    Let me know which sounds better or you guys can suggest something yourself.

    Yeah Start_pos_factions just has the faction description but you could add at the beginning of that what OS is their default that would be ok I think. Game stuff - I think that the 12 turns per year would suit this mod very well but its a lot of work to change build times etc. I'm loving the way the whole game is slowed down because of build trees needed for units. Playing as Chosokebe I just took Myoshi out and I can now recruit Mori and Kobayakawa vass peasant loan swords there? Anyone know why their called loan swords? why not just Peasant swords or levys. I'm not used to playing TROM so its all new to me atm.

    I have all those files and all the addins in the data folder. I had taken out every other pack because it was originially crashing when i went to even try a game. Now it just freezes. Is that normal or does it just take a really really long time to load?

    I mentioned in the Known Issues section (post #2) that the Brigs_Shogun2_v4_music pack is causing the game to crash so don't use it.
    Take it out and try it again to see if that works.

    If you are still having crashes and you think your graphics card might not be strong enough, try to remove the Z_City_Castles pack and the Z_City_Castles_2 pack. These add the big towns to your siege battles and will really cause problems if you don't have a good graphics card.

    I do plan to release a 12 turns per year mod for MBS but that will be just before we get finished with BETA testing. If I created 12tpy now, it would take forever to test fixes in-game.

    Peasants are not offered as vassal units. Only Ashigaru and higher you will see as vassal troops.

    The loan sword troops are a CA imagined unit. Supposedly they were given a sword just to fight a single battle then they had to give it back afterward since it was a crime for a peasant to own a sword.

    Ya I tried to edit my post to say that it worked when I removed the addins, though i wasn't sure the specific problem.

    OK, I have been bug-squashing for the past 3 days now and I think I have enough done to release BETA version 002!

    Here is the summary of what has changed from v001:

    BETA Version 002-
    Some provincial buildings do not revert to their proper level when a higher level bldg is destroyed by the player. = FIXED!
    Some missing text names for a few units = fixed!
    Need to make (ashigaru) units recruitable from trade posts and farms for PROV, CLAN, VASS OS. = fixed!
    Brigadier Graham's music mod causing problems (remove for now). = Removed!
    Delete duplicate village/Harbour bldgs. = fixed!
    Adjust CAI Tech Synergies to make more balanced= fixed!
    Adjust techs to improve CAI builds. = fixed!
    Reduce costs of specific bldgs to aid CAI. = fixed!

    I think most of you will see that the obvious changes will be the addition of a few Ashigaru units (only for the PROV, CLAN, VASS OS) to the Trade Posts (on the farming slot). This is to help speed up the CAI's conversion from peasants to ashigaru.
    The other obvious fix is the Loc file so that the unit names show up correctly for the Military OS units.

    What you won't see is what is going on under the hood... I have worked ALOT on the CAI to try getting it to pump out higher level troops better and faster. It has no problem recruiting sword peasants but I want to fight some upgraded troops!

    It also took me two days to find the bug but I did fix the problem where destroying a building would set you up on the wrong region's building chain. Now you can wipe clean anything the AI building in a region and start over if you want with no problems!

    UPDATE: OK, version 002 is up and the links are working.

    I am off to play a campaign. Will post some in-game pics later on.

    Yeah, I found an error in the Startpos that needed fixing so I am re-uploading the main packfile now....

    That's what I get for not being able to test all the factions before releasing.

    Oh, and if you guys can do me a favor... if you see any regions that do not have the correct buildings or you see unit cards that are still vanilla, please let me know.

    My unit cards are distinctive and all building names in my mod either start with "MBS" or the region's name. If you see otherwise let me know.
