    Default Hi- some models

Hello, i was asked to have a look at the mod and see if i could help.

While currently i have very little time, i have completed some byzantine models in Blender. They are not perfect though since i mostly need them for the game Civilization III, which has static graphics, of relatively small size.

Have a look and see if there is anything you would like. First set is Byzantine, second is Portuguese

They're nice, they would fit nicely on the map. What are the polycounts?

Well it tries to be the Hagia Sophia

As for polycount, i am not sure where Blender shows it, anyone know?

The Hagia looks good, my comments would be regarding the roof tops of the other buildings which look Renaissance.

But I think they could be easily changed to look Roman by simplifying them.

Convert the files to .OBJ in Blender, then either me or Imperator can get them game ready. Did you do your own texture sheet, or just cover the faces with materials?

BTW, that is some nice work. I'm a particular fan of map icon type stuff. Loved Civ 5, loved the Total War games.

    Thank you all

I reworked the Hagia Sophia a bit and i think it now looks somewhat better:

I need to rework the other models too, since they are fine for this size and static render, but on a quasi-3d map they might show their imperfections. However if you want to see an example (the hagioi apostoloi of Thessalonica) you can dl it at post 59 of this thread:

That must be a private dev forum? The Hagia is great, thanks for this and take your time we know you're working on other stuff too.

Alright, model looks solid. you need to convert your texture to .DDS format for it to work on the M&B engine though. and the mesh itself must be in .OBJ, .PLY, or a couple other formats for it to import into OpenBRF, which is a community tool that packages that stuff into game-ready format.

The model is not that great, i know, but like i said i only needed it to look passable at the civIII size. Future models for TW will be better

I will have a look at the modding tools and see if i can import my own models at some game.

You're models are great for map icons -- just give them good textures and it will be more than adequate, trust me

Thank you They will further improve, although i like to make things (in a hobby) fast, to save time for my normal work (literature).

Do you need any muslim buildings? I just modelled an Almohad (Khaliphate of Andalusia) set:

Almohad is a bit late for our mod. Things were still looking Roman for the most part save in the East under the Sassanians.

Do you make any Slavic forts?

Pretty cool, are able to make circular fortifications?

We could use that Yurt on the far right side.
