Private Forums for Civitate Houses

There as been some dispargement lately of the Civitate system, and the great houses in particular. In order to revitalize the Civitate house system, I suggest that there be established, for each House, a private forum in the CVRIA.

any thoughts..?

That would encourage division and could cause more splintering among the civitate system - I don't think that would be right, the smaller houses would have less discussion than the larger ones. Members would turn down patronship from the lesser houses... It could cause lots of problems.

I personally like the system as it is now, although some small changes could improve some little things.

Good idea. Although I dont think that the houses should be hidden, but only members of that house post in them, much in the same way as the councils.

Tell me one thing - what is so important that houses would need to discuss within private forums? I wouldnt be against them if you had a good answer to that question, but honestly I dont see what good it would serve

In reality the concept of "Houses" are only there for fun. Therefore there is absolutely no reason for each house to have it's own private forum.

I agree - if a 'revitalization' is necessary, I doubt this is the way to go about it. I think I have talked with only two people from my house ever, and only one on a regular basis. Theres really nothing a "house' needs to discuss (unless you revamp the entire house system)

The Curia already has 8 subforums, which have 4 subforums. Adding more would be administratively catastrophic.

No. As others have already saud, it would increase the division between the members. Also, what would actualy go on in theese private forums that does not already go on in MSN? It would be pointless and a waste of our Admins time to give the Great Houses their own specialty places to muk around in. And what of the Civs who are not in one of the Great Houses? How about getting their own forums as well hmmm?

I want to turn our house into a multiplayer clan for TWC, generally I want to move the houses out of the Curia into other civitates community events. In which case a NON CURIA related forum might be possible. Not now though.

Thats why there would be another sub forum, filled with, yes - more sub forums! It really wouldnt be that hard I think, and would be a great edition to the curia.

It's a terrible idea. It would cause factionalising and encourage even further promotion for selfish and personal reasons. It would also further issolate non-civitates from government. For example, multiplayer clans? Yeah, that's all well and good, but you've automatically written off the majority of the forum's members from an area they would have most likely been very interested in.

I think you're just scared. I have a 100% victory rate against everybody who has challenged me from TWC or Anagennese.
