    Default Stannis, the Rightful King

I will be using House Baratheon of Dragonstone, for Stannis is badass. Heres a quote from Varys. I am also using the Stormland units for this one, since I am already going to take it...Muhahaha!

"There is no creature on earth half so terrifying as a truly just man."

    Lord Varys

On the lonely island of Dragonstone, a single solitary figure stood. In his hand was his sword. Lightbringer she called it. Ser Davos Seaworth, the Onion Knight, stood next to him. From there, the imposing city of King's Landing was seen, where the bastard son of the Kingslayer sat, on his throne. The throne that belonged to Stannis, him. Stannis didn't want the throne. But he had to do his duty to Westeros, and his duty to Jon Arryn.

The ships of Stannis' fleet prowled nearby, while the cries of the levies were heard. Some pikemen were eager to face Renly, others warned of the great Tyrell Host. That Tarly man would surely lead the van of the Tyrell Host, and ever since Renly Baratheon proclaimed himself king, he was slowly marching towards King's Landing. Stannis would beat him to it. Renly would either bend the knee, or die.

"Ser Davos." Stannis greeted, and Davos bowed in respect.

"Your Grace." Seaworth then turned to face and look at Stannis in the eye.

"You'e Grace, are you sure you want to sail for Storm's End? We have less than 1500 men Your Grace, and Renly has over 3,000, and that is just because of the Stormlands!" Davos was a cautious man, and he was not afraid to tell Stannis what he thought. Stannis had placed Davos as his Hand.

"Aye. But we have the control of the Sea. I want 1000 men and 15 ships at Storm's End. We meet Renly on the field, and destroy him. Is this understood?"

Davos looked weary, and wanted to protest, but decided against it. The former smuggler nodded his head in obedience, before shouting orders, and the grinding of gates was heard.

The Stormlands would be feel the might of Stannis. He was the one who held for Robert. After he was done dealing with his bastard of a brother, he would turn his attention towards King's Landing. In the end, Stannis was the rightful king, and the monster on the Iron Throne would see his wrath come to life. Joffery Lannister, would die by his hands, for he was no kin to him.

Several hours later, 15 ships, carrying over 1000 men lead by Stannis himself, were headed towards Shipbreaker's Bay and he left Davos in charge of the garrison at Dragonstone. With the royal fleet drawing near, he wanted his island to be safe. Though he never wanted Dragonstone, he had to admit that the island had grown on him. Just as he was about to step on the deck of his flagship, Dragon's Breath he felt a small tug on his waist. Turning around, it was his daughter, Shireen. Smiling, for she was one of the only people that could make his smile, he bent down. Both daughter and father knew what was going to happen. In the words of the former rulers of Westeros.

    Fire and Blood.

The ships offloaded the army right on the doorsteps of Storm's End. The small garrison of about two hundred souls in Storm's End were caught off guard, and for the Lord of Storm's End, now styling himself king, was marching slowly towards King's Landing with a large army.

The assault on Storm's End was brutal. The thousand souls of Stannis' army made ladders and built siege equipment. Smashing aside a small token force sent by Renly, the Army stormed Storm's End, and by the end of the day, two hundred souls had been sent to the Seven for judgement.

The leader of the garrison left there by Stannis, Lord Alester Florent, held Storm's End with around three hundred men, most of them levies. News from the west. Robb Stark, the L:ord of Winterfell, had been styled the King in the North, and had liberated Rivverun from the Lannisters. The Tyrells had been allied to Renly, and their army was now doubling back towards Storm's End. New levies raised from Dragonstone and the surrounding isles started to arrive, and by the time Renly's Army returned, over six hundred levies and soldiers were garrisoned there. Stannis had just taken Tarth from Renly as well, and was laying siege to Rain House. When he heard that Renly had returned, and with a grand host of over two thousand men, he marched back, and the host he commanded was now encamped right behind Renly. Renly had dispatched Mace Tyrell to go to war with the Northmen, and Stannis was amazed at the stupity of his brother.

Renly's host was now encircling Storm's End, and his fleet was heading straight for it. Stannis' fleet managed to defeat them in Shipbreaker Bay, but the remnants retreated heading straight back to the Arbor. The Dornish had attacked Oldtown, taking it with miminal losses. Stannis however, knew that the huge army of the Tyrells would soon turn the tide, and he needed to end it.

He stole a march against Renly, surprising him, and his pikemen slammed straight into Renly's Cav, making them route, while himself, and Allard Seaworth, his first knight, lead the cav and killed Renly himself. The Stormlands were soon throw into dismay, and with ease, Stannis captured Grifftin's Roost, Rainwood, Rain House, and most of the castles in the Stormlands. Ser Loras Tyrell, the alleged lover of Renly, became the new leader of the remaining forces of Renly, and in a stupid move, lead the remnants of his host to lay siege to Dragonstone. The fleet carrying the small and battered host was decimated and destroyed when they tried to anchor and take Tarth. With that and the capture of Bronzegate, left the Stormlands in the hands of Stannis.

But the bastard on the Iron Throne had been stirred, and his forces soon marched towards Bronzegate, and Stannis and his field army were wondering.

Who would win? Tommen Baratheon, the Crown Prince, had been married off to Arianne Martell, and the Dornish would soon march against him. The Tyrells were now scrambling, and the Lannisters were dealing with the ironborn attacking Lannisport and Casterly Rock. The Tullys had taken Golden Tooth. The King in the North was heading north to reclaim Winterfell, lost to him by the ironborn. The realm was now in chaos.

He decided then. He sent a raven to Dragonstone, and the fleet set sail. Davos Seaworth and his army would march once more, and he would show the bastard king what it meant to peel the Onion Knight.

Davos Seaworth and his men were in the ships, and he was feeling as right as rain. With the Stormlands under their rightful King, and the pretender dead, he was ordered by the King to lay siege to Duskendale. With the Tyrells scrambling to the invasions by the Dornish and the Lannisters, the King on the Iron Throne had sent his dog with reinforcments to Rosby and Duskendale. Smiling now, he and his sons would kill the Hound. The Hound had last been spotted by the fleet heading towards Rosby with just under three hundred men at arms, and about 120 knights. The Royal fleet was not in King's Landing that was what worried Davos.

Davos knew that the King would have to stop the massive army lead by the King himself, and the Dornish armies now marching towards Storm's End. The Vale was also stirring, and the Lord of the Eyrie was sending his forces to Saltpans, amassing a huge host of about two thousand men.

"Lord Seaworth. The fleet nears Duskendale. The Vale is the only land that has not been touched by the War of Five Kings. Renly is now dead, and the Stormlands fall under Stannis. The Tyrells has been divided and they are slowly being eaten up." Ser Axel Florent reported. Davos didn't like the Florents, but they were neccesary, and Stannis had sent his daughter, and married her to Theon Greyjoy, and now the Ironborn and Stannis were now intertwined. With that, the Iron Fleet under Lord Victorian Greyjoy launched a massivea attack on the Arbor, while the Dragon Fleet under Davos was now only a few miles off the coast of Duskendale.

"My Lord!" a loud cry went out. Davos saw a sailor, wearing the sigil of Stannis, cry out, and he saw what the sailor had saw. It was the royal fleet, flying the stag and lion of the King on the Iron Throne.

"Hurry to the Coast! Offload the men. Then double back, and smash the fleet. Long live the king!" and with that, everything went to hell.

Stannis Baratheon's host was divided into two parts. One part, directly under him, was encamped in Bronzegate, waiting for the massive host of over three thousand men to appear from the Kingswood. Stannis had a small token force in the Kingswood, mostly made up of archers and levy spearmen to delay Joffery, under the command of Lord Robin Peasbury. His another part of the army was under Ser Richard Horpe, his right hand man as well, and the leader of the southern host.

In the Kingswood, another skirmish was happening between Joffery and Lord Peasbury forces. Lord Peasbury and his personal guard struck up and down Joffery's Line, causing massive casualties, while his archers rained down death from above. The spearmen stopped another cav charge, this time under the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, Sandor Clegane.

"My lord! We have to leave now!" screamed a knight under Lord Peasbury, as he cut down another gold cloak. The levies under Joffery outnumbered Peasbury's forces by up to ten to one, and the small force was being battered by the sheer numbers of Joffery's army.

The spearmen of the center were barely holding, and Peasbury could see that they could break anytime know. Then fresh levies from King's Landing came knocking in, and the army of Peasbury started to retreat, breaking off contact. The army fled, straight towards Bronzegate, where Stannis and a thousand of his men were waiting for Joffery.

Davos Seaworth and his knights were the first ones to offload the ships. The Dragon Fleet then turned around, and started to engage the royal fleet. Ramming and firing ballista, the Dragon Fleet was nearly routed, but before that happened, another fleet appeared, bearing the sigil of House Stark.

"My lord!" Ser Axell Florent yelled. Davos was going over his hosts assault on the fortress, when he saw the longships of House Stark smash straight through the fleet of Joffery, sending the remnants running back to King's Landing. More ships appeared, nestling the sigil of King Stannis, and fresh reinforcements were landed, bringing Davos Seaworth host up to over 1500 men, most of them heavy infantry and archers, with some cav.

The fleet of the Young Wolf landed a small force under Roose Bolton, the Lord of the Dreadfort, and they immediately started to set up a siege camp right next to Duskendale, the defenders of the town not believing that the Young Wolf would extend this far down.

The two houses met, and Roose Bolton and Davos Seaworth signed a peace treaty, and both pledged to rid the world of the Lannisters and the Boy on the Iron Throne. Davos split his host into two, sending Lord Monford Velaryon and seven thirty five men to besiege Rosby, quickly taking it, while Roose Bolton and Davos Seaworth captured Duskendale. The Young Wolf, Robb Stark, had uprooted the ironborn out of Moat Callin and Deepwood Motte, and Balon Greyjoy, the King of the Iron Islands, demanded that Stannis help him in the war against the North. Stannis, not willing to face the North until he destroyed his enemies in the south, broke off the alliance, and the Iron Fleet under Lord Victorian Greyjoy retreated from the Lannistport, right after butchering it right in front of Lord Tywin.

Tyrion Lannister, now freed from the Vale, took command of a small host that was leaderless after the Young Wolf killed Ser Kevan Lannister. The Tullys under Edmure Tully, recaptured Saltpans, from the Lord of the Eyrie, and war started between House Tully and House Arryn. Stannis and Robb Stark refused to intervene, and the Lannisters took that as an advantage, striking and taking Maidenpool from Robert, before fortifying their remaining strongholds and turning their attention back to the east, where a Tyrell host was marching towards Casterly Rock, to take it from Lord Tywin.

Stannis and his host stole out of Bronzegate in the middle of the night, and slowly, quietly, formed a ring of steel around the siege camp of the Boy King. Crown Prince Tommen, the heir to the Iron Throne, was the first to be cut down, as the army of Stannis roared down onto the camp of Joffery. Joffery and his dog were caught off guard, but their men and heavy horse were able to get into the fight.

Lord Peasbury watched from Bronzegate's walls as Stannis' host butchered some of the King's host, but then reinforcements from King's Landing lead by the Kingslayer himself soon arrived. The Hound and the King fled, taking with them over a thousand men, fifteen hundred of their host slaughtered, and the Crown Prince dead. The Hound was immediately sent to Rosby, and with over a thousand levies, laid siege to Rosby. Stannis and his host were still in the same position as last time, waiting this time for Jaime Lannister and his men to make a move. The Dornish had already laid siege to Stonehelm, and the Storm Fleet, the other fleet that Stannis had, landed fresh levies from Dragonstone, and the Dornish host was sent packing, heading towards Blackhaven for better fortunes. The Tyrells under Mace Tyrell laid siege to Oldtown, and Stannis saw an opportunity. The Arbor was nearby, the seat of Lord Paxter Redwyne, was under siege by Theon Greyjoy, and the Redwyne fleet, which was normally situated in King's Landing, waiting for Stannis, headed back home, and Stannis saw that the time was ripe. With his army of three thousand men, fresh men raised from his lands, he defeated Jaime Lannister, and his host from Rosby destroyed Sandor Clegane's host, making him scurry back to King's Landing with less than three hundred men at arms and knights. The gold cloaks under Janos Slynt, the fresh levies raised from King's Landing, and the remnants of the hosts under Jaime Lannister and King Joffery numbered over three thousand men, but with the two hosts under Stannis and Seaworth, with Lord Velayron marching his host of seven hundred men towards Rook's Rest, the host under Ser Rolland Storm, the of Nightsong, and the Dragon Fleet set sail, the thousand men heading straight towards King's Landing. With the Young Wolf fighting the majority of the Lannister Armies, and the Tyrells pre-ocuppied with the Ironborn and the Dornish, Stannis was now moving towards King's Landing, and to end the reign of the Mad King Reborn...and Stannis will take his rightful place as the King on the Iron Throne.

King's Landing. The capital city of all of Westeros. Stannis watched as his host marched from the Kingswood, battering aside any force that came his way. Davos was bringing his host down south, while Rolland Storm was bringing his host across the Blackwater to land right at King's Landing. A Lannister army had been seen, but a Northern force, lead by the Greatjon, smashed it to pieces right outside of Stony Sept, where a Tyrell force under Garlan Tyrell was. The Reach was pushing back the Lannisters, but the Dornish were putting up the pressure, laying siege to Highgarden itself, and the Lord Tyrell had ordered all of his armies to be recalled.
"Your Grace." Lord Peasbury bowed in honor for Stannis. Stannis nodded in turn, and the lord jerked up. Ships carrying the sigil of the King in Dragonstone were rowing down the Blackwater, bringing a good thousand men to lay siege to King's Landing.
"What news, Lord Peasbury?" and the girlish smile on Peasbury widened.
"Rolland Storm has defeated the last of the Royal Fleet, and Lord Celtigar has sent word that his force of two hundred had landed near Rook's Rest. A dozen knights were killed, but our men managed to breach the gate and defeat the last bastion in the Crownlands. Only King's Landing remains. And Lord Stark has bent the knee. He wishes to say, that his forces will take the Lannisters out from the Riverlands." And King Stannis was pleased. Lord Stark was a sensible man, and he had killed Lord Tywin outside of Riverrun, smashing his host and taking Kayce and the Banefort, while Lord Balon Greyjoy had taken Casterly Rock. Lord Kevan, and his remaining bannermen had all fled to the Crag, where a strong force of Ironmen had taken a siege, bottling up one of the last Lannister hosts. Needless to say, the Imp had proved to be quite crafty, taking Harrenhal from the Vale, and fortifying it, before using his mountain clansmen to take Golden Tooth from Robb Stark, and garrisoning it with fresh levies raised from Saltpans, which he also taken. He was carving out a little domain for himself, taking advantage of the chaos reigning in the war between House Tully and House Arryn.
"Your Grace, the hosts awaits. When will the battle commence?" asked Lord Sunglass, looking from his horse. His small host of a one hundred had joined with Davos, and they were encamped outside the walls of King's Landing. The King was seen moving from camp to camp, too weak to attack the city directly without receiving heavy losses. Stannis was inspecting Rolland Storm's camp when a messenger came galloping out of the woodwork.
    "Your Grace!"
    "What is it?"
    "The Ironborn!"
    "What of them?"
"They defeated Lord Tyrell outside of Highgarden! Dorne took Highgarden, and the remaining Tyrell forces have fled to Stony Sept!"
"How many Tyrell soldiers are left?"
"Three thousand. Plus a host of nine hundred lead by Ser Garlan the Gallant that is on its way to Bitteridge."
"Send a message to Mace Tyrell. If he bends the knee, I'll reclaim the Reach from the Dornish and the Ironborn. And after that, Joffrey's head will be mounted on a pike!"
