I have a question to pose for my Rper brothers and Sisters.

The Garo- What are they based off of culturally?

This knowledge is what I need to fully flesh out the idea for my new character.

I think we all know that the Ikana culture is based off of the New Worlds Inca civilization (Note the name if you didnt know and the type of clothing and architecture.)

But what of the mysterious garo? I have a hard time trying to pin point what they are like. So little info....we know they are not ikanan because they were spying on them, an enemy if you will. Maybe something like the Spanish or Portuguese that destroyed the ancient Inca? Or another mesoamerican, South American culture? Your thoughts and Ideas please.

Judging by their clothes, maybe a more Beduin-styled culture? You could cross it with mesoamerican (for the Ikanan link) or Rennaisance Spanish (for the sense of preying on the less advanced civilisation) influences.

Ooh, and you'll need some heavily corrupted Shaolin ideologies in there too to account for the ninjaness...

You know he'll bound with Erithanos, or Majora, or worst of all, I can barely even think of it, Commander Zelda. That would be Termina incarnate for him, and thus the only viable option.

If I made Matt freak out any more than I already did for stumping him with my Kokiri's mystery, we may have a problem. Gaia and vic will probably check in the morning. Depending on where they look first, they might go "WTF!?" for a moment.

Oh come on, that is giving me far to little credit. I don't like to brag, but I knew from the start that it was a prank. The only thing that suprised me was that it took as long as it did for you to admit it.

Personally I always saw Ikana as more egyptian than Inca.
As for the Garo, mayhap they are based off the ACTUAL assassins, the ones in the arabic world, playing a role in the crusades. Where they had a mountain fortress that had this really beautiful garden inside, where the assassins were made believe that it was paradise, thanks to prostitutes masquerading as virgins and a lot of drugs.
So since they were already living in "paradise", they had no problem being send out to assasinate someone, or die for their lord, because they were convinced that afterwards they would return to paradise. Which is why their usual strategy was to get near the target with a disguise (Garo's clothes, hiding their faces and pretty much everything else), then pull out knifes, kill the target as quickly as possible, and then go down fighting, most likely beign killed immideately by the targets friends/soldiers/guards (Like the Garo use long knives and die without leaving a body, signaling that they don't care all that much about what happens to their mortal bodies. Or how they errect a ring of fire. Sure, they can pass it, but it seems to signify that there is no running away from that fight for anyone, Garo included).

Oh yeah, tomorrow I won't be available. I have a seminar about US elections, and tomorrow we'll run said seminar through the night, first having four hours worth of presentations about elections, and then watching the whole thing on CNN.

Tis a shame that you have to suffer through our elections as well, and lose sleep over it. I have seen shockingly little ads on TV. Most were on YouTube when I was watching lets plays.

I still find it funny that Halo 4 comes out on election day.
