Just get the unofficial patch for Dragonborn and make sure to have done the first three or four parts of the mainquest, or do it before going to Solstheim, otherwise there won't be that much to do. I really like it so far, but I hadn't even started the mainquest as I use a different start mod. It might very well be I won't be able to start the Solstheim questline on my current character.

Well, I've finished the MQ for Skyrim but what's this unofficial patch you speak of? I thought it had only been out for PC since the 5th?

Check on Nexus for it. The patch was released pretty much right after it was released.

That update is new High-Resolution textures for the DLC. If you use the High-Res Texture Pack that should explain it.

I haven't even completed the main quest and Dawnguard. I'll buy Dragonborn during 2013 Christmas sales...

    Spoiler for Answer
You mean when Miraak goes forever ethereal? Just avoid accidently absorbing the Dragon Souls he uses to heal himself and he'll come out of the ethereal phase.

You could always try to download the unofficial Dragonborn patch if you haven't done so yet.

So Dragonborn has been pretty cool so far. *This* is what a DLC should be like. It's a proper expansion that's on the same scale as Bloodmoon at least. I wouldn't say the MQ has been that interesting so far, but it's fun to just explore Solstheim and do the odd quest, because often the outcome is quite unexpected...

I'm referring to Kolbjorn Barrow. I killed my partner, of course. I couldn't let him go after the 8k septims he took from me.

I agree about the odd quest thingy, did the same thing myself

The mainquest is very short though, I'd expected one almost as long as the Skyrim mainquest, (which also was short as hell), but I played through the Dragonborn thingy in a very short time

I'm using the Dragonborn unofficial patch, and I've had no problems with anything so far. The UP's shouldn't interfere with eachother or any new DLC's as anything new probably uses its own files and even if it doesn't one can always uninstall the patch.

Well i downloaded the patch and its still the same. "Some" fixes are supposed to be to go back to Skyrim, uninstall, reinstall, enter the game, do everything from the beginning and hope it works.... yeah whatever. Waste of money.

Is Dragonborn worth the 20$ or €? I'll finish Dawnguard first I guess
Cassius: "Our men at arms have secured the city. We've received representatives from all the best elements. The senate is with us, the knights are with us."
Brutus:"The pontifs, the urban cohorts, the lictors guild..."
Antony: "Oh, the lictors guild, very good. Only rally the bakers and the flute players and you can put on a festival."
