Dunharrow is not required to reunite Arnor.
I think you have Aragorns RPG mission confused with the reforging of Arnor. Aragorn merely has to end his turn in the province (not settlement) to advance his mission.

The settlements required for the reforging are: Hobbiton, Michel Delving, Longbottom, Bree, Staddle, Barrow-Downs, Amon Sul, Annuminas, Fornost, Hoarwell, Tharbad and Coldfells.
This information can be found in the read me file as well as in the ancillary possessed by Aragorn.

I know that the RPG part is separate.

The problem is, as I've written several posts above, is that the ancillary lists a couple of settlements that I can't find, Iach Sarn and Barketta. I've looked into campaign script a minute ago, and it seems like it's error in description of ancillary, but not 100% sure about that...if someone can confirm that.

both those settlements are only included in the expanded map

Iach Sarn is the sarn ford south of the shire it's just to the right of Aillimir (spelling)

and Barketta is west(left) of Fornost Erain

Hello, I have a bit of a problem. It appears that none of the scripts are running for me. When I start a new campaign I don't get any prompts to activate scripts.

I have MTW2 steam version, with TATW MOS installed at E:\Steam\steamapps\common\medieval ii total war\mods\Third_Age_3.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled TATW and MOS a few times, trying different methods each time. I've tried the stand-alone 1.41 installer, and the separate 1.3, 1.4, 1.41 installers. I have tried using both methods of launching on steam, the mod launcher and renaming a kingdoms campaign.

I have disabled UAC, redownloaded the 1.41 standalone twice to check for corrupted download, and each installation I have followed the install instructions and ran cleaner.bat after each update.

Help would be much appreciated, as I very much enjoy TATW

You have to do it like this ( if you used the method with renaming one of your Kingdoms campaigns as you said, then we will use as an example crusades in this case ) : link to thread with pictures..

    1. Edit the security for your M2TW folder ( steam/steamapps/../medieval II total war, if you did it, then procced )

    2. Uninstall TATW using Start - Control Panel - Uninstall Program, and delete manually crusades folder in which TATW was located. ( Don`t delete original crusades campaign )

    3. Make a new folder on your Desktop, name it GAME or something..

    4. Double mouse click on TATW Installer/s to run them, browse the destination paths to this GAME folder which you just made, and install ALL FOUR TATW Installers into this GAME folder.

    5. After installing ALL FOUR TATW Installers, open this GAME folder, and inside you will find two folders, data and mods..

    6. Data folder HAS to be copy/pasted into steam/steamapps/../medieval II total war folder ( overwrite everything when asked ).

    7. Open mods folder, inside you will find Third_Age_3 folder, copy/paste Third_Age_3 folder into steam/steamapps/../medieval II total war/mods folder.

    8. After it is done, rename one of your original Kingdoms campaigns ( for example, crusades to crusades_original ), and, rename Third_Age_3 folder to crusades. BEFORE installing MOS, check does your TATW work,
open your Steam launcher, find crusades and run it.

    9. Make another folder on your DESKTOP, name it MOS, run MOS Installer, install it in this MOS folder.

    10. Copy paste all the content of this MOS folder into your crusades folder ( where TATW is installed ), overwrite everything when asked.

    11. Run Cleaner.bat file found in your \Steam\steamapps\common\medieval ii total war\mods\crusades folder.

    12. Open your Steam launcher, find crusades and run it. Hopefully, you will start playing MOS.

    Good luck!

    Hello ElvenKind,

I have reinstalled everything following those instructions, and it seems I still have the same issue.

CTD in Mordor's turn, I have retried about 10 times with or without FOW and followed AI characters. It seems from the logs that it happens when a Mordor General takes the cross.

Playing as Gondor atm and noticed that the generals other than those in my family tree are having children: do those male children count towards my overall general count per province? I only ask because I've been expanding a lot and own 40 provinces, turn 33, using 4 turns per year, and even changed daughter retirement age to 25, yet still Boromir and Faramir have not had any marriage requests :/

    My cosmic (un)luck?

Hmm, I would suggest to remove any of the TATW files from your \Steam\steamapps\common\medieval ii total war\mods folder, and give another try..

One more thing, after you tried the mod launcher installation method ( as you said ) did you remove the settings from it? When you open up the Kingdoms Launcher App program simply right click on the mod you wish to remove, and then click "Delete Settings" which should do the job. And, reinstall TATW + MOS again..

NOTE: If you have space on your hard drive, after you make a fresh installation of TATW and check does it work, make a backup of TATW files somewhere, so next time you just delete the renamed campaign folder ( crusades for example, not the original crusades of course ) and, copy paste the files from TATW Backup. That way you can speed up the proccess of this painfull installation mess with steam. Sorry
