Thread: Lesson 4 - assignment

  1. #1

    Default Lesson 4 - assignment

Analyse 5 of the following 15 images in 3-5 bullet points:

    • Briefly describe what you think they were intending to convey (1 point)
    • List out the strengths of the photos in terms of composition, mood, angle, amongst others (1 point)
    • Describe what problems you see with the photos and how you would improve them (including cropping and think about the four components of selecting battle pictures). (1-3 points) DO NOT LIST THE BATTLE ADVISER ON THE TOP LEFT CORNER.

When you write your bullets, just note the number of the picture, don't link the picture itself.

I recently had a lesson about image analysis at school, and my mothers tongue hand book even has a page for a "how to analyse an image" guide.

Don't feel intimidated by the number of pictures. In several cases there is one particular problem we hope you can find.

Ok, it seems that people did get intimidated, so we are relaxing the assignment a bit. Pick only 5 of the 15 pics to review.

I won't be able to tackle this lesson until after this Friday. Two big research papers.
