    Default 5.Preview Saba

I'm really really sorry for our very long inactivity.
Most of our team has faded away or is busy with personal issues but because I wanted this amazing mod to live I decide to put everything on everything and do the the last bits of coding which needed to be done myself.
To make up for our long activity I present to you:

This will probably be our last preview before the open beta release (which will be in 1-2 months, less if we get some extra codemonkeys) and this one won't be as good as the previous ones because I've got not 2d-artist to make this preview attractive so I'm just going to show some units.
    Enjoy

Saba: According to the Hebrew Bible, the unnamed queen of the land of Sheba heared of the great wisdom of King Solomon of Israel and jouneyed there with gift of spices, gold, precious stone and beautiful wood and tested him with questions. The land in Sheba can be unforgiving, particularly the Arabian wastelands. Rarely do enemies wonder into certain death.

    Bedouin archers

A widely quoted Bedouin saying is "I against my brother, my brothers and I against my cousins, then my cousins and I against strangers".
Bedouins know the desert like no other. They know how to survive.
Not only are they great in surviving in the desert, they are also great warriors.
They carry light clothing and small shields like most of the Sheban which gives them great mobility.
Even do they are fierce warriors, they shouldn't be brought in melee as their clothing gives them almost no protection.

    Sabean Infantry
These men are rich enough to afford good armor and weapons. They are drained from middle and upper classes of Sothern Arabia's cities. They are not just rich men well armored, who will run at first sight of enemy, on the contrary, tehy will hold their line against any enemy. These men are one of the best in Sabaean army armed with shields and spears and best leather armor, they will fight to the end.

    Sabean Tribal Infantry

The Sabeans were a desert people.
As so most of their soldiers come from the tribes in the sabean lands.
These soldiers lack armour but make up for that in mobility.
They carry small shields a helmet and a spear.
Even though they don't serve much of a threat to most armies they can be dangerous if amassed or used against cavalry.

The Sabeans were mostly isolated from big civilizations.
This can be seen in the weapons they use.
The Sabean Axeman is an example of this; they carry crude axes and big shields.
This makes them one of the slowest troops but also one of the most dangerous troops.
Their shield is able to protect them from about everything weapons and arrows alike!

These men, were personally loyal to their king - from whom the cost of their equipment and training was exclusively drawn. In the days when the Sabaean King controlled the High Priesthood, they served as temple guardsmen in addition to his personal escorts, marching as a ceremonial guard and as an elite corps of regulars in battle.

Although a camel was most widespread animal in ancient arabs, still horses were not strange in their armies, especially in this period. Although numbers of horsemen were small, still they were effective and useful. These men are lightly armed and their main job is to throw javelins and reduce amount of enemy's men. These men are good at chasing routing enemy or against light archers, still in melee they have no chances on victory.

Credits go to the Iberian for modeling them, Stephan for implementing them, me for skinning them and of course the rest of the team for all their other work

nope, that's just because people from multiple nationalities worked on this mod,
so theres a little bit german and french mixed in this mod rite now.
Should be able to be replaced quite easily
