The french king and his sons were killed in a battle near Paris defending their homeland and without any Heir to the french throne the lords and dukes of france have declared their independence. By rights of conquer, the Holy Roman Empire claims all lands of the french crown. Lyon and Clermont have already declared for the Empire after brief sieges.

    You see. As i said France is dead. HRE is getting more powerfull.
    I dont understand people with small kingdoms helping HRE get bigger.
    Read the Niccolò Machiavelli`s book, and see what will happen when weak kingdoms ally a Strong neighbore.
    Esspecially in Medievall ages.
    And about that fool Crusade : I prefer to not say any thing, but i expect you "Cristian" brothers to fight with each other very soon, Remember a person who doesnt respect his past promises,will not do that in feuture.
