    ITW Platinum, spanish version, has been released.

    It is possible Installer doesn´t create a icon of shorcut in the desk of Windows.
    For to create manually, the player has to do the next:
    1. Click in the main .exe of Rome in the main folder of the game with right button and drag to the desk of Windows
    2. In the new icon of shorcut in the desk, click with right button of the mouse, and select: Propierties
    3. In the new window, ADD (no change) the next (one space after quotation marks): -mod:ITW -nm -show_err
    (there are one space before every high dash, so i recommend copy this line and paste -mod:ITW -nm -show_err (one space at the beggining)
    4. Later, click in Accept. Then this icon will work like a shortcut of ITW Platinum

    *IMPORTANT: The installer only changes one folder from Vanilla (folders of original Rome Total War) for adding Redman`s minimod of clouds. It is recommended before instalation to make a copy of this original folder (Data/Sky) and if the player doesn´t like this minimod can come back to Vainilla clouds, changing folder sky (from installer) to original folder Sky. It haven´t been tested if this change in original folder sky is compatible for multiplayer game. The installer can uninstall the mod but it will delete the folder Sky of original Vanilla, but if the player have a copy can add it after unintallation in Data (name Sky).

    We hope English version releasing as soon as possible (probably in 3-4 months). Sorry to english speakers fans, but traslation hasn´t been possible now, because the team thought it was more important the releasing of this version before, and we haven´t much time. If somebody want help with traslation, it can be possible give them text archives for traslation.

    README

    There are 20 factions: Rome1, Rome2, Carthage, Numidia, Italic Socii, Gauls, Padan Gauls, Edetanians, Ilergetians, Carpetanians, Celtiberians, Lusitanians, Turdetanians, Gallaecians, Asturians, Vacceians, Oretanians, Bastetanians, Greek Cities.
    In game options, every player will have to adapt to own computer limits. Mods is made for huge size of units for to recur historical great armies in those years.
    In preferences, player must activate advise option: NO ADVISES
    It is recommended to activate option for more than 2 armies in battelfield.
    It is added in the mod the recommended PREFERENCES.

    NEW CHANGES OF VERSION PLATINUM

    SYSTEM OF COMBAT

    In this version, it has changed combat system from gold version. The team want reproduce historical combats in those years.
    Then, the best army was heavy infantry (greek hoplites, roman legions, etc). It has changed stats units for this.
    It has been tested, and we have seen every faction can win in the battle with the same denaries.
    The factions with less powerful heavy infantry, can defeat to enemy in this ways: Harassing for reduce enemy moral of the troops, with projectiles, specially incendiary and from flanks and rear.
    Cavalry has its own role and can be used for to massive attack in some weaks places of enemy troops, attack and retreat, flanking, etc
    The war machines have been adjusted in stats (ballistas and scorpions), very powerful in original vanilla. It has adjusted range and damaige to projectiles, balancing Historicity and gameplay.
    In the previous version gold, team have based only in Historcity and some battles, specially sieges, were little gameplay (very slow speed, etc). In agreement with many fans opinions, in this version we have balanced for gameplay.


    CAMPAIGNS

    It has kept the charge system of scrips in all campaings. At the beggining, in campaigns, adviser is illuminated. If adviser is not illuminated, if player click in every town of map then adviser will illuminate. Player have to click in "show me" in green under adviser for to activate script.
    From this, sometimes, in next turns, can appear messages in relation to campaing for to human player read and act. FOR RE-CHARGE A GAME CAMPAIGN OR KEPT CAMPAGING, HUMAN PLAYER ALWAYS ACTIVATE SCRIPT IN THE FIRST TURN.

    It is strongly recommended, if the player leave from a campaign and want to start another one, leave completely from the RTW game and come back to access to mod, because it has tested sometimes script failures if the player doesn´t make this.

    The previous campaigns of gold version, based in Western Mediterranean map, have been improved. In the testing we haven´t important CTDs (in gold version there were some CTDs after some turns in some campaigns). It is possible some random CTD, or indeed some no tested, but usually the game work after leave to the game and recharging.

    NEW CAMPAIGNS

    There are a new pack of campaings based in a new map of Iberian Paeninsula. In this map, team have wanted to recreate different historical situations from 218 BC to 18 BC: Second War Punic in Iberia (all sides), ilergetian resistance to Rome (Indibil and Mandonio campaing) and Rome conquest,
    Consul Cato conquests of Iberian factions (and resistance), celtiberian (numantian)-lusitanian resistance wars (Viriato, etc) and roman conquest, Sertorian Civil Roman War in Iberia, Roman Civil War of Pompey against Caesar (some situations), Vacceian and Gallaecian resistance to Rome, and Cantabrian-Astur Wars.

    The team have wanted that every campaign to recreate a real historical situation in a faction, and every campaign has its particularity. For this, it was been made different scripts for every campaings

    For Rome and Carthage, for to get a maximum historical rigor and maximun fun, it was made a system for to recruit big armies (legions, etc). For this, human player must build a building (a port in one or more towns, a camp, etc), and after player can "call" to the troops, which will come in some turns.
    Then the troops will appear (massive appearing) in this town. It is very important a turn before city is empty. In scripts, IA factions will recruit big armies. In this scripts, it will be popular recruitments (levas) for different IA factions every some turns in some towns if there are some conditions (involuntary system).
    It was tried care economic aspects for to avoid bankruptcy in this faction because high maintenance of this troops. For this it has reduced maintenance costs for human (legions) and levas.
    In every new campaign, in the second turn, appears a message of campaing description, historical approximation, mods for massive recruitment, costs of mantenaince of this massive troops and some strategic advises. Human player can write these dates because it wont appear in the future in the campaing (we want dont overwhelm to the human
    with repeating messages and then the player can choose to propose the war, where, etc). Campaings are won if in the time (there are diffent number of turns for every campaing) it was got objectives of faction (these can be read all turns in faction objectives)
    There are campaings with some turns for natural year, variable in every campaings. Factions of celt paeninsular culture have bonus and advantage in combat in winter turns.

    SCRIPT OF PROMOVING REBELLIONS

    There are some "surprises" in some scripts in civil wars: Spies, asssassins and diplomats can be used for promoving rebellions. If human player get combine positions of these agents in enemy lands (near to some towns) it is possible promoving a rebellion and can appear one o more armies of ememy deserters troops, rebels villagers, etc, in the enemy rear.
    It is possible in these campaings enemy IA factions can promove some rebellions with this system in our own cities, and so it is recommended to use assassins for to kill enemy agents.
    There are appearances of historical characters in some campaings: Caesar Octavius, Julius Caesar, Consul Galba, etc...

    Guys, are you still here? I tried downloading the Gold Edition using the link from here, but it leaves me with a corrupted download. And the platinum edition is downloading with 80 kB/sec, maybe that's just me but usually 250 MB should only take me 10 mins.
    I would rather have a memory that is fair but unfinished than one that goes on to a grievous end.

    Alright, forget my last post, I managed to download the gold edition from your homepage.

    After playing for a few hours, I can say, you've done a great job!
    It's always interesting to see the different approaches to balance the units. Really well done.
    I would rather have a memory that is fair but unfinished than one that goes on to a grievous end.

    Yep, how's the translation?

    Also, would you think to resize the horse units? 200 and 240 are a bit too much.

    And, is there a bug when you exit the game or not?

    Because some work and personal reasons the tralastion to English is being slow (Excuse, please).

    The reasons for many soldiers of cavalry soldiers is to maintain the balance of fights. Battels are longer than Vanilla and maybe more realistic. In historical battles there aren´t too many casualties, and the missile troops didn´t produced much lethality. The loser army retracted when they felt enemy was best.

    Sometimes, there is a minor "bug" when you exit the game but usually after few minuts you can come back to windows.

    I hope the translation is eventually released. I remember playing previous versions of this mod years ago and finding it really enjoyable; It's also good to see that Platnium saw release as well
