Downloadable reader allows portability and is easily updated

Epsom, UK, October 18, 2012 – Slitherine (www.slitherine.com) is excited to announce the release of the Field of Glory Ancients and Medieval 2.0 rules. Tabletop wargamers can now experience the latest version of the rules with gameplay updates and amendments by downloading them directly on their PC, Mac and iPad.

The new rules allow wargamers to access content with no worry about pages being torn or books being lost. But most of all, players won’t have to print updates and fight over latest rules being introduced. Everything is now automatically updated directly on the device. Navigation is also made simple through direct links to chapters and army lists. Expansions will also follow the same path and be released digitally in the coming future.

JD McNeil, Chairman of Slitherine, said: “Once again we are taking the wargaming world to a new experience. It’s indeed a radical change and it’s not a cosmetic one. This new way of distributing rules and updates is a revolution and we certainly want to stay close to the community of fans and players while they transition to the new Field of Glory world”.

A print on demand version of the rules will also become available later this year. This way players will be to chose if they want to keep playing with the paper rules.

The Field of Glory tabletop miniatures gaming system caters to wargamers that are interested in recreating the battles fought in Rome, Greece, and other battlefields.
