    Default Hungarian Invasions of Europe

Anyone know some good books on the Hungarian (Magyar) incursions into Europe in the 9th and 10th centuries? I'm particularly interested in the effects of their invasions on Germany (or East Francia) and Italy. It is difficult to search for reading on the subject as they are overshadowed by other barbarian invasions at the time such as the Vikings.

I am pretty sure this has more to do with Otto the Great's career, so you may want to search his biography.

You might want to research Avars. They are the dominant force at Hungarian plains before the arrival of Magyar tribes.
