I thought I would keep with the WWII theme and the fact I wrote half the Wikipedia page for this and thanked me by blocking me for adding neutrals and some foul play http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...fantry_weapons

    Nice work...

    Some corrections...

I don't think Australia used the Browning Hi-Power. I own one, and have researched them extensively. Canadian-made Inglis Hi-Powers were used by Nationalist China, the British (rather late in the war) and of course the Canadians themselves.

Belgium had long phased out their Nagant revolvers by 1939. FN Hi-Powers were used by most infantry and armor officers. Latvia and Lithuania also used Hi Powers, I've seen a pic of Communist partisans in 1941 armed with them even after these countries capitulated to the USSR in 1939. After the FN plant was captured in 1940, Hi-Powers were made for the Nazis and were favored by the Waffen SS.

    Edit:

The Belgian version of the BAR was the FN Mle 1930.

The Greek service pistol was the FN Browning 1922.

I think I read somewhere about privately purchased Star Model B's being used by some British officers, especially Commandos and airborne. The 1911's said UK services used were often chambered in .455 cal.

    I'll do the corrections
Belgium had long phased out their Nagant revolvers by 1939
There are some instances where they were used

    Edit:
I won't do any changes straight away due to time problems

I have an edit as well, the Star Model B was not the pistol used by British officers, it was the Argentine Ballester Molina; the Pistola Automatica Modelo 1927, essentially similar to the .45 ACP M1911A1.

This obscure tidbit comes from Military Small Arms of the 20th Century, 7th edition, by Ian V. Hogg (a WWII British officer, so he would know).
