Scotland cannot join the EU without the Sterling Union, according to the former Commissioner for the Monetary Union, because it will not have a currency backed by a central bank.
That's a pretty major revelation right there and I'm surprised the BBC haven't picked up on it yet. Considering all major UK parties promise to refuse this, it could leave Scotland without the EU and without the Pound, which would be a catastrophic blow to our economy.
