You also need to select the same install options.

Yes we have the same options but i do not understand that..
Another think i tried to do was top unistall the RTW and the XGM, and then to reistall them, and now when i am trying to install the game(XGM) says that i have a wrong RTW edition...
I state that i have the RTW Gold edition (with the barbarian invasion)

You should patch-up before you can install XGM.

Hmm.....is 'I have an issue, I can't play online....' appropriate for this thread? I think its a help request not a I'm an XGM player from planet total war post.

Sorry if I seem over critical, the forum appears to be getting a little messy

Fix the problem, not the blame!

    Getting back on track here.

I'm a relatively new XGM-player. I'm from Viborg, Denmark. I love having an army with lots of phalanx-options, and the greek history interests me greatly. I've played RTR and TE before and enjoyed both, but XGM seems at least as good.

I'm inclined to agree after having played a while. Very hard to play though, but I'll probably manage.

Keep at it, XGM is very rewarding. It will stir your emotions...the strategy, the tactics, the sinking feeling of failure, turning a battle with a cavalry charge...destroying the Romans.

    I love XGM.
