    Default Final preview of Austria

    And here they are!

Screenshots for all the Austrian units. They are finished and ready to use, I just have a minor correction to do for the pants of the Austrian artillery. I used Blucher legs but the groin area looks... overdevelopped . I did that initially because it is a 512x512 textures with boots, and all the 384x512 were used, but then I realized I can put a 384x512 texture in a 512x512 slots, so no more issues!
So expect a small update for that.

So let's start with the ugly artillery

12 lb artillery. With left right bicorne, and long coat.

6lb Foot artillery, with the same bicorne and short coat

6lb Horse artillery. Back front bicorne, and short coat.

Howizter, long coat and front right bicorne

Close up. You can notice the new shoulder straps properly going over the belts.

Austria did not really have horse artillery, but I added them for gameplay balance with other factions.

I used a combination of two different coats and bicornes so the type of artillery is easier to recognize at a glance.

    Then comes the generals

Generic general has a chevau leger escort, and grey horses.

While named general have white horses and a better escort, here Cuirassier for Archduke Karl (a few have hussars, others dragoons, and there are two types of cuirassier, 1809 or 1805 style).

1805 version of the cuirassier, with smaller helmet. Notice they have a cuirass and a belt (I think MoE is the only mod where cuirassier have belts).

    And 1809 with taller helmet

Close up of the officer from the front

Close up of the trooper from the side. Notice the saddlecloth and the helmet.

And close up side view of the officer helmet, with the lion holding a snake engraving on the crest. There's also lion heads on the button holding the chinstrap.

    And 1809

Side view closep of the 1809

Trumpeter detail, with the red crest, and the new drummer wing (it was quite a pain to have the semi circles on the hedge look almost right)

    Hussars 1805

    And 1809

They are very similar, the difference is the size of the cocarde on the shako.

Left; 1805 trooper, right 1809 officer

    And 1809

    Insurrectio hussar

In case you don't know, "insurrectio" is not a group of rebels ! Austria army raised several landwehr units, but not in Hungary since the Hungarian parliament did not authorized it.
Instead, Hungarian used a system named "insurrectio", kind of levy of local militia.

So insurrectio can be seen as a militia specific to Hungary.

And 1809 version with tall chapzka and plume

Details showing the large stripped belt. And the red plume identifies him as a trumpeter

    Hungarian grenadier

Close up showing the grenade badge on the belt.

    German grenadiers

Close up of the bearskin. The pattern from CA looks like a child drawing, but we couldn't use the full pattern image providing by Prince of Esssling. It has too many details and in game it didn't look right.
So l'Aigle made a new version mixing different sources.
It's not 100% historical, but it looks very good in game.
We couldn't make an eagle with a sword on one side and the "earth sphere" on the other side since the texture is only a "half" texture and mirrored.

    Hungarian fusilier 1805

    And 1809

    Closeup

    1805 German fusilier

    And 1809

close up of infantry helmet from the side and front. We could not use the real "F.II" on the front plate since the texture is mirrored, so we need something symetrical. So we used only "II".

Detailed of the infantry officer helmet

And close up of an officer with the black long coat. Better target for French voltigeurs.

    Grenzer infantry

You can notice on the closeup that I redid the shako to have larger black and yellow cocarde, and also a better pompon. The one from CA has a tiny black center almost invisible in a big yellow cercle

Landwehr. There were many different patterns from Landwehr, I used only one (or I'd need another atlases, and I wanted to fit everything on one atlas).

    Garrison

They cannot be recruited directly. They automatically appear to defend cities with the help of some citizens.
They have a mix of regular line infantry (blue.green colours, shako and helmet).

The Bearskin shako is AMAZING! No doubt the work of L'Aigle.

Love the new helmets, like I've said before.

Love the new trooper Cuirasses, the silver colour really looks good.

Nice to see a variety in artillery uniform, greatcoat and dress. Will this be for other factions as well? Or just Austria?

The Hungarian Regiments cuffs and turn backs are still blinding me

One last thing: hate to be the grammar police, but this bicorn is transverse
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    and this one is longitudinal
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    Just been annoying

EDIT: And I like the new cannon textures black looks good
