    Russian look great! Many thanks for your work.
    I have a question about the Cossacks. In your preview shows them ready version or the work will be continued?

    The cossacks should not change much. There were many types of Cossacks, with different uniforms, and we are making only two types: guard and line. The atlas is already full, we can't add more uniforms for cavalry.

    I will correct the belt of the Guard cossack, it should be white, not black. And see if I can add the white sash.

    You will also see a few more cossacks for the Crimea emergent faction.

    I'm afraid we are not going that fast... We started the Russians in june. You have the impression they are coming very fast because they are comign just after Austria, but it's just because we worked in parallel on that.

    I think we need about one month for a full faction now.

    Thanks for the quick reply. Maybe you plan to make the Tatar, Bashkir, Ural Cossack regiments. Cossacks is on olshey of irregular and non-linear cavalry. One of a kind.

    Are we going to see cossack infantry for Russia, or just for Crimea (assuming you are making them for Crimea)?

    We have not finished the atlas for Russian infantry. If we have some slots left, may be a few for Russia.

    And Crimea for sure.

    A few more previews. I have made a new 1808 shako. And for Hussards, since the have tassels, the same shako is used for 1805 and 1808.

    1805 line hussard. Base on Aleksandriya regiment

    I just realized that this stupid game engine is mirroring the texture from the atlas before displaying in game!

    So the Eagle of the cavalry helmet plate was inverted


    I corrected it




    I also corrected the guard Cossacks. The pelitzi was wrongly placed on the collar texture, so instead of being in the front it was in the back. And I have change the belt to white, and added a sash.

    It took me one full morning, but I think I got the 1812 shako right.
    It wasn't really easy. I had to start over several times to get a "nice" curve at the top without creating ugly gaps in the mesh (small gaps between two vertexes that are visible with some angles).

    With this, the Russian cavalry is finished, except for the saddlecloth. I'm not sure yet if I do the saddlecloth, and then the icons and info card of the cavalry, or if I start the infantry uniforms.

    Russian Hussars are wonderful, as well as all the other units that you have done. I look forward to preview the Russian infantry. You made Alexandria, Pavlograd, Akhtyrka hussar regiment, why you don't want to do for a variety of Cossack regiments? Thank you very much for your wonderful mod/

    Because the atlas is already full. Maybe I'll add a few cossacks later if there's slots left in the infantry atlas.
    As is it now, the only variation I could do is make another cossack unit, with the blue coat but the colpack of the guard cossack instead of the cossack cap.

    I cannot add any new coat or hat, I can just mix them a little differently.

    But if you want to see more cossack, then I have a task for you. I'll add more cossack only if I can attach them easily to a region.

    The recrutment limits for Cossack units are:

    Kiev : 4
    Novorossiya : 6
    Kursk : 15
    Mosvka : 8
    Novgorod : 4


    Kursk has the Don dossack, which I used as a base for the uniform in the preview here. Now, if you can propose other types of cossack with a uniform that is doable without too much difficult with the atlas I have, and tell in what regions they go, maybe I can consider adding them.

    I cannot promise to do them all, if they require meshes which are too far from what is available.

    Also about hussar: actually what I did was make 3 periods, and select one regiment as an example for each period. I did not try to make all the regiments, this would require an atlas only for the hussars!

    Beside, since I have a recruitment limit = half real number of regiment, it raises the question of what regiment to keep.
    I keep these 3 regiments because their color I quite distinctive compared to other factions.
