I haven't seen them play yet, but when you think about the fact that they did so well last year with a starting lineup that shifted several times, had two players in their first year with the pacers, one in his second and a head coach in his first full year as a head coach it can (imo) only get better from there. Add in a few good FA pickups and this team looks really good.

I agree. Pacers look good for a real battle with the Bulls for the division, could well come down to the head-to-head series as I have Bulls winning 47 games this season, Pacers will be about the same.

FTR, I have Heat #1, Boston #2 and after that I have absolutely no idea.

No more knuckle push ups either please.

Dirk has surgery today and could be out up to 6 weeks.

What is it with Carlos Boozer?

18 points, 8-10 shooting, 6 rebounds and 3 steals at HALFTIME.

Let's make some bets: most places have the over/under Bobcats win total at a 22.5.

I'm going waaaay over. 28-30 wins is not unreasonable. Maybe I'm just a homer.

Even if it's only preseason, Raptors are looking good. My hope is this young team can make playsoffs, nothing special...

Lowry and Jose Calderon, that Center Jonas V. supposed to be good, If Andrea Bargnani can stay healthy the Raptors could be a team on the rise.

Did anyone catch Dwight last night? Him in Forum Blue and Gold just looks imposing.

Second Laker play -- Nash gets a pick from Dwight, dishes it to Pau who catches and lobs it in one motion for a Dwight slam dunk.
All through the game Kobe had practically an open lane to the rim because the other center simply can't leave Dwight to stop him!

    Me scared.

Indiana is going for the basketball sweep this year, Fever and Pacers. I think DJ and Green will be great additions, but the biggest additions are Plumlee and Mahini, actually allowing the Pacers to defend the center position when Hibbert gets his rest. If Paul George steps his game up like he was "supposed" to last year look out. It just sucks the Pacers are getting good while the big market Lakers and Heat have super squads assembled.

I thought Paul George did well last year but they didn't play him as much or something?

He did ok last year during the regular season, and was a starter all year. He disappeared on the offensive side in the playoffs though.

He took the least shots of all five starters. He did play well defensively hes one of the few guys in the league who can actually gaurd wade or bron because of his athletiscm and wingspan. He just needs to get more involved on offense and keep working on the jumper.
