Time for a new thread methinks.
I'll start it off with today's news that the Knicks will play the Pistons in London on January 17th.

First reply! I have two thoughts to share:
1) The anti-flopping rules the NBA have instated is the biggest thing to happen to the sport in decades
2) Is there any reason to watch the NBA this year if you aren't a fan of the Lakers/Thunder/Heat?
Yes, Not a fan of any of those teams but will be watching to see:
Clippers(CP3,Blake and company)
Nuggets: They have a better team I think then last year with Iggy coming over
Want to see how Lin does in Houston
See what the 76ers look like with a true C.
New Look Nets
GS with Curry running things and improved big men
Watch Irving in Cle.
and of course the Wolves with all there players back from injury with Love leading the charge.
Not gonna watch every game with all of those teams but will be interested to see how they do through out the season.

I'll be watching every Bulls game, as many Lakers and Heat games as time allows and I really love watching the Wolves play.
Those are the 4 teams I'll spend most time on this year I reckon

Good chance of it if you ask me.
My god the Mavs played sloppy against Berlin, I kind of dont think they will make the playoffs this year.
Are you watching this game Nud? Hinrich is beasting, its like block, block, steal...absolute pwnage
Our bench is gonna rape other teams benches when Derrick gets back
Belinelli already picking up where Korver left off. Shoot the ball dillhole.

Talking on the radio right now about the insider news coming out of the Bulls is how Marcus Teague cannot play a lick at this point. He will need at least one redshirt year. Just cannot play at this level at all.
Cool.

Thing is he played relatively well in the summer league.
It's no biggie, he was one of the last picks in the first round, no expectation of being something great...

Ronnie Brewer #2 (Butler) played well at the summer league, too. Nobody is expecting him to put up even 1/4 of those numbers at the NBA level as a role player. Be nice if he would. I still like the kid as a defensive minded role player, like a Brewer. That has value. But his recent comments about how much faster things are the NBA level shows he still hasn't adjusted. He said as much.
No, the talk is that the Teague thing is really suspect. A matter of his fundamental game not translating well to the NBA, at all. You can't teach around that. Nobody is saying "draft miss", but I think people are also being diplomatic.
So it might be a miss. That happens. And happens more with point guards who score close. That takes a special player. I didn't see that in Teague. And he could still be a passer.
But worse is that the Bulls cannot be blowing picks at this point. They had roles to fill right now. It just makes me hate the mentality of drafting the best player available on your board. It doesn't matter what league it is; it rarely works. And makes little sense when you are in NBA hell, and already have that style of 1 guard, who also happens to be a star. All you need is a Heinrich or Nate Robinson to back him up. You can find that every year.
Not a luxury you have, Gar.‘‘He’s 19 years old,’’ Bulls general manager Gar Forman said as he watched Teague play markedly better in his second summer-league game than he did in his first. ‘‘We didn’t draft him for need. We drafted who we thought was the best player left on the board.

Timberwolves first preseason game is over. Brandon Roy looked pretty good, had 14 points on 4-9 shooting. He looked like he could move around pretty good and had get up.
I here what you're saying about Teague, I had no idea they meant such a fundamental problem, certainly doesn't sound good.
As for Butler, I'm hoping he'll do well this season, he has the right attitude and I think he'll improve.

I can't roll my eyes hard enough watching boozer play basketball.
I rolled my eyes so hard I think I hurt myself.
We can't hit a 3 to save our lives.
and the next time we have a draft pick, can we try drafting somebody who can shoot please?
The lack of offensive talent on this team is getting ridiculous
just as I type that, Butler tosses up an airball from 3
