i'm loving that the Haradrim one is closer to the Numenorean one because of the Black numenorean influence during the time. i'm dying to see Harads roster!! black numenorean and proud

The remnant of the King's Men who survived in Middle-earth after the destruction of Númenor were called the Black Númenóreans since they worshipped Sauron and were "enamoured of evil knowledge". They worshipped Darkness, and believed that Melkor and Sauron were its most powerful servants. At the end of the Second Age two of their number, Herumor and Fuinur, became lords among the Haradrim, though what became of them is unknown.

Ooooo pretty! If i had to pick a favourite - Rhovanion, but Eryn Galen is beautifully simple, Mordor is wonderfully ominous, Lindon is proud and beautiful, and Enedwaith looks strong and wild, with a nice Celtic vibe.

    If it was an image made up completly of PJ we would not go with it, but as the description by JRR to personalize Sauron is aligned to the movie version we roll with it;
One moment only it stared out, but as from some great window immeasurably high there stabbed northward a flame of red, the flicker of a piercing Eye; and then the shadows were furled again and the terrible vision was removed.

    Looking great.
Do you have a recruting speed as fast as MOS or d y plan to make it slowlier, so that the game become harder ? Cause it tried a halfed speed on Mos and was forced to fight with units, i would never use the normal way and found it more challenging and interesting. In addition to that more players will see more units and the stacks will be more variable.

The great endevour I'm onto right now, and together with some description texts is what the beta await, is the matter of recruitment. I've recently crafted a calculating system that I hope shall prove appropriate and is working on setting the recuitment rates and pools. The aim is to create a game balance where units are valuable and to avoid stack spam, so that battles become important and not a matter of assembly line grinding. A key purpose with the beta is to determine weither we succeeded or not, and adjust accordingly.

The coding is a time consuming process, but progress is quite good, and I deem it reasonable that before November passed we may present our beta. As usual, no promises, the summer aim proves that hehe, but then again that we set the aim resulted in great achievements while the postponed beta simply meant that we can present a far more complete game

This looks so awesome.. Some units of the Numenorean Kingdom are a bit disappointing.. Hoped to see some more better units. Best units are the Tier 3 Units that we all know from the other mods and from the movies intro with the great battle of the Last Alliance.

Just hoped to see more special units in the Numenorean Kingdom, a bit more like the Elves. But still a good job you guys are doing. Awesome work, love the Elven units, the map and I hope we can play this soon with an easy installation :p.

    Thanks

One can't satisfy all, hehe; we do not put time on adding or recreating units for the sake of adding or recreating units, our roster called for a certain amount of units and when there were deemed fitting and excellent models to use we used it, and when there was not we had it crafted. Same applies to Kingdom of Lindon/High Elves for example, where all post-Barrack Event units are from TATW.

    Thanks for the comments/reps guys.

We have since replaced the Dark Lord's symbol because the original Eye didn't fit with the visual theme of the others. The preview has been updated.

Nice - though perhaps if you wanted to differentiate it from Mordor a touch more, you could make the background a deep scarlet-red instead, and thus keep the 'fiery' theme?

Hey guys, quick question: Was Amon Lanc not in controll of the Wood Elves?

    EDIT: Another question:
Since the numenorian Kingdoms are a single faction, why did you chose to use Gondor's banner?
This one would be more appropiate for the merged faction since it's got Elendil's crown in it:

No, they had left it already
Long before the War of the Alliance, Oropher, King of the Silvan Elves east of Anduin, being disturbed by rumours of the rising power of Sauron, had left their ancient dwellings about Amon Lanc, across the river from their kin in Lórien. Three times he had moved northwards, and at the end of the Second Age he dwelt in the western glens of the Emyn Duir, and his numerous people lived and roamed in the woods and vales westward as far as Anduin, north of the ancient Dwarf-Road (Men-i-Naugrim).
    - UT

Elendil, I argue, did not use the crown as a symbol, that was the symbol of the kings of Gondor [who were heirs in the line of Elendil] later in the Third Age:
The crown of Gondor was derived from the form of a Númenórean war-helm. In the beginning it was indeed a plain helm; and it is said to have been the one that Isildur wore in the Battle of Dagorlad (for the helm of Anárion was crushed by the stone-cast from Barad-dûr that slew him). But in the days of Atanatar Alcarin this was replaced by the jewelled helm that was used in the crowning of Aragorn.
    - Appendix A

Upon the black surcoats were embroidered in white a tree blossoming like snow beneath a silver crown and many-pointed stars. This was the livery of the heirs of Elendil, and none wore it now in all Gondor, save the Guards of the Citadel before the Court of the Fountain where the White Tree once had grown.
    - RotK

There flowered a White Tree, and that was for Gondor; but Seven Stars were about it, and a high crown above it, the signs of Elendil that no lord had borne for years beyond count.
    - RotK

    Star, as emblem: ...
Seven Stars of Elendil and his captains ... originally represented the single stars on the banners of each seven ships (of 9) that bore a palantir; in Gondor the seven stars were set about a white-flowered tree, over which the Kings set a winged crown.
    - RotK; Index
When Aragorn hoist Arwen's banner-sail he claimed to be an heir of Elendil, in the tradition of the kings of Gondor, which he was the first to dare to do for ca a millenium.
Elendil used the seven stars, the three was for Gondor, while the crown was not used by Elendil in his time but a later symbol for Elendil - or, perhaps rather, his line, as it presumably was to represent the helmet-crown that Isisldur had worn that had developed into the symbol for royalty in Gondor - we must remember that Arnor never used any crown.

... the Elendilmir itself, the white star of Elvish crystal upon a fillet of mithril that had descended from Silmarien to Elendil, and had been taken by him as the token of royalty in the North Kingdom. Every king and the chieftains that followed them in Arnor had borne the Elendilmir down even to Elessar himself; but though it was a jewel of great beauty, made by Elven-smiths in Imladris for Valandil Isildur's son, it had not the ancientry nor potency of the one that had been lost when Isildur fled into the dark and came back no more.
    - UT
Note: There were two Elendilmir, one that came from Númenor that Elendil wore, and was lost when isildur died, and a reproduction that was crafted for his son Valandil that remained among (or at Rivendell for) the royal line of the north until LotR, when later also the original was rediscovered as described here above.
