Have some patience. I imagine Lewis is still rather busy with RL atm, but he will do what needs doing when he finds a bit of free time.

Ah, it's already over with, so I'm not sure what you mean.

I just looked back at the competition post from the homepage and found it closed. So I went looking, and looking. I found this and saw the poll, but it too is already closed. I'm confused. I guess i just don't understand how this works, but it looks to me like it's all secreted away in a back room where people who don't specifically know about it, will never find it. Which is odd, after the competition was announced on the homepage in the first place.

The way it works is that the Submission phase usually lasts for around a week where anyone can submit an image in the relevant thread. After a week that thread is then closed and then this one is opened to allow everyone to vote. The poll is open for one week and after that it is closed to any more votes. Eventually LuckyLewis will then open a thread to announce the winners similar to this one. This particular competition was only announced on the front page, because it was the 300th, so it was a special occasion. I do admit however that this part of the forum is rather hard to find on TWC for those who dont know where it is.

Indeed it is. I have been here since nearly the beginning* and have never seen it before, not that I was looking.

I was just very excited to participate in a broader TWC creative effort for the first time and then couldn't figure out what happened to it. I suppose a PM would have cleared it up, but I just kept checking the thread to see when the OP changed. I spent all night changing those 7 identical guys (actually there was an 8th, behind the middle two but he was erased) into 7 totally different individuals, editing, reshaping and force fitting bits of armor and other graphics from other images on to them. What fun! As it turns out not one single person voted for my exhaustive efforts! Then I saw only a mere 21 people voted and that is just about how many people posted images for the contest! Minus me and one other (total 23, I believe)

Now there are some superior images submitted, but surely such an effort as I made would normally garner a vote or two from a voting public. But there was no such voting public! Point is, a little more attention to these would do the whole community a good. TW players love seeing each other's screenshots, that's a fact. As for my failed attempt to create a stimulating image.... well, I'll keep my day job.

*the beginning, well that's complicated. I recall a civil war on an original forum long ago, which resulted in me losing and then recovering my account. And then another disaster resulting in another total url upheaval in 06 or 07 which resulted in all the work I had done for a submod of RTR being lost. Eventually, after swearing I was done chasing these forums, I re-re-registered here. Addictive isn't it?
