    Default Giant Compilation of unit Stats

    UPDATED JULY 24 2013.

    Hey everyone, I saw that a lot of people were making claims about balance or a units effectiveness. So I decided to create a document that compiled many of the in game stats for units. I hope this helps everyone understand the stats in the game currently for the units. All this data comes directly from the game scripts.



    Sorry about the crappy quality picture. Download the file to see it in better light lol. The sheet contains descriptions of each of the columns and what they represent.

    To Neph and THP, hopefully this will help you guys balance the game easier, as the overall potential column is linked to all the other columns. So if you play with the numbers a bit you can get a general change for the balance. I.E. if you change hollow knights unit size to 16 rather then 12 there potential greatly increases to a more "normal" level. Bare in mind the Overall Potential column is wildly inaccurate, but its purpose is to show "general" effectiveness, read the annotation to see what I mean.

    Wow, the Triforce Vanguard aren't really all that better than Ironclads.

    In fact, since they take a higher heat penalty, it's actually WORSE to bring them against the Gerudo.

    And yes, all factions will be modified to better fit their intended roles AND all factions will be balanced in that there will no longer be god-like Kokiri or underwhelming Darknuts or desert-dwelling Lizalfos.

    Nothing, really. Just the fact that the Lizalfos faction is more forest orientated.

    Lizalfos get bonuses for fighting in the desert.

    - Cold Blooded: The Lizalfos are unable to survive in sub zero temperatures, and tire very quickly in snow, though they excel in combat when fighting in hot temperatures like deserts.

    That's not what I'm saying. I'm not against them having a desert bonus; they just need a forest bonus as well.

    Not really they don't: the Lizalfos in Neph's mythos have been forced into the forest after they were kicked out of their home in Death Mountain. It's not their native environment.
    The reason they've been given that bonus (I'm fairly certain) is because in the original games they mostly showed up in volcanoes and deserts, both extremely hot places. The cool forest climate could well be almost as displeasing to them as the desert heat would be to us humans.

    @The Holy Pilgrim & Duke Serkol

    Like Serkol said, many Lizalfos in Neph's lore are native to the Death Mountain Range. I do not see these getting bonuses for fighting in the forest. However, there are varieties of Lizalfos that seem adept in the woodland environment. Units such as Tree Hoppers and River Runners could have the forest bonuses in my opinion.

    Speaking of the Darknut's, shouldn't they (those that have full body armor) be impervious to arrows? it really doesn't sit well with me that i can run and shoot these guys down when there practically encased in armor.

    and the Stalfos Lizal has a moral? i thought you lose those when you die.

    I'm guessing Neph just forgot to put lock_morale beside the Stalfos Lizal, which disables morale.

    Stalfos Lizal are bugged, yes. They are not supposed to have morale.

    i'll take the first one, for i don't believe the Dead (unless states reasons for other wise) should have moral.
