Faction "Wishlist" thread

We have two mystery factions in the mod. Take a guess at what they are?

I'll give you a hint.

AT LEAST ONE, if not both are on the British Isles.

The KINGDOM OF THE ISLES is one of the mystery factions. That is the "Irish" mystery faction, as they control Dublin, Mann, the Isles of Mull, Skye, and Lewis. Their armies will be a mix of Gaelic and Brythonic levies with Viking elites. Also, they will be a mixed religion faction, as they were slowly becoming Gaelicized

Well, you said that maybe both are on the British Isles... and there is no faction is Wales yet afaik...so I'll say Wales or Gwynnedd or whatever they're called

And I'll say the second one is either the Kingdom of Connacht, Leinster, or Ulster I noticed that one of the mystery factions was listed as Irish, so im gonna assume the Isles doesnt count as Irish, and you got another Kingdom for the Munsters to fight

The Isles faction IS, in fact, the "Irish" faction. Now, the only reason I call them an "Irish" faction is because they have the territory of Dublin. The Kings of the Isles fought against the kingdoms of Ireland on multiple occasions and quite often fought alongside them.

My guess is Seljuq Turks. Barely fits the timeframe, but maybe emergent faction in the Mongol/Timurid style.

Sorry mate, there will be no emergent factions. Although I would really like for there to be some way to include the Turks so that they could invade Asia Minor and cause the Byzies some problems, but I don't know if there is in this version.

Well I still think it's gonna be some muslim faction nibbling off Eastern Roman Empire. But my historical knowledge is limited at best, so I have no idea what would it be.

Unfortunately, the map only goes to the end of Anatolia, about where the Kingdom of Armenia is.

About Bohemia:

Well, I considered the Duchy of Bohemia but in the end decided against including them simply because they were more or less a part of the German empire. You could argue for them using the duchy of Normandy example, and the fact that occasionally they were at war with the Germans, but all in all they were vassals to the German king. In game they will be represented as part of the German empire, however there will be a semi-autonomous government form already built there, along with several types of AOR troops for them. The bodyguards of every Duke/Prince of Bohemia will be different from the bodyguards of the Germans, they will be made up of Druzina rather than Knights.

I'm still curious, what's the last faction. Got a few a bit wild ideas, like Cumans or Skraelings .

Cumans dont sound too out of it...well, a nomadic invader, but there is no emergent factions....
