This Mod does not work!

I´v installed the darthmod 2.6 on a clean Napoleon game and it starts fine, but when I to start a battle or campaign the game closes down and it say "The program stopped working" or something like that.

I really want to play this mod! what am I doing wrong?

Verify game file integrity in Steam to see if any files are missing. If there are any missing files. Steam will automatically re-aquire them. Re-start the game after you run this process, and see if that corrects the problem.

1@Open steam
2@ under search point your mouse cursor over the Napoleon total war game and press right on it
3@ You should get a number of listings go to properties then local files should be there what your looking for.

Are there any other mods installed. Not sure if DM is a standalone mod. I would do a reinstall of Napoleon. Then install the DM
Also post the log file on the technical forums

If you revert back to Vanilla NTW via the DMN Launcher, does NTW run correctly? That would be a way of knowing if it is a mod issue or the game itself.

Also; Did you have a previous version of DMN installed prior to trying the 2.6 version? If so. I would goto the Launcher and revert back to Vanilla. Exit Launcher and uninstall as per the Add or Remove Programs. Make sure you donot have any other versions or incompatible mods installed. Disable antivirus software. Re-install the DMN Mod. Enable SP Default in the Launcher Settings. Then try to launch the game again through the DMN Launcher. Of course insure that Steam is open before launching from the DMN Launcher.

Hello,

I got the same problem I guess.

I downloaded the same version of Darthmode Napoleon, v.2.6, I installed it correctly. However, when I launch the game i encounter with an error, even though i launched it while the Steam was logged. I haven't installed any other versions of DMN before. I also tried clicked on the original icon of NTW, it didn't work either. I'm really looking forward to experience this stuff, waiting to see your suggestions asap.

First open Steam, then open the launcher, for god shake, read this one line of instructions mentioned everywhere.

Ok, I'm pretty sure that;

-I installed the DMN in the exact folder which has napoleon.exe,
-I started Steam before launching DMN & made sure it worked properly,
-I enabled SP default,

However, I still encounter windows' error message.

...and, I don't have any previous versions of DMN. This is my first time downloading & installing this mode.

Run steam, log on.
Start launcher, set the settings that you want to play with, the thingy will do its thingy, press play.
Game will start ok, you should notice the Darth flash screen and everything, enter campaign and then the game will crash (or run correctly), that's ok.
Close the launcher, open steam and run napoleon like it doesn't have a mod (just press play), for me it works, try it out.
