Re: RTW or BI....choices choices.....
I'll play BI DM 8.0 as the Allemanns, if I should play RTW BI, I'll play it on the larger map which was added to DM by Shaggy.

Re: RTW or BI....choices choices.....
I have been using normal RTW for the moment, and not BI. Will not play a BI campaign, for personal reasons.

Re: RTW or BI....choices choices.....
The reason that I asked is that some mods are intended and designed with RTW in mind and then adapted, which is done very well, to work with BI. But I just have an opinion, not based on much testing, that many mods seem more 'mature' and balanced played through RTW.
Then again I'm sure that I'm a little biased as the RTW era seems to intrigue me more and, like I mentioned before, I am familiar with it.
I just didn't want to lose out on what DM has to offer via BI by not bothering to play it.

Re: RTW or BI....choices choices.....
BI_DarthMod has used all the evoultion of past RTW DarthMods...but it has been given a different flavour. I have chosen to make cavalry more dominating in the battlefield bcs it is historically correct.
Archery will be less effective due to heavier armour of the era with the stagnant evolution of projectiles.
Horse archery on the other hand is deadly and the super weapon of the era.
Heavy Cataphracts are simply...tanks.
In RTW all the factions are too uniquely balanced (I have chosen in BI not to give too much bias).
For example the romans have extremely delicate stats completely unique from the others.
Phalanx still exists in many armies and is very powerful but vulnerable to roman warfare.
Cavalry is powerful but not in prolonged melee (as is more in BI)
...to be more brief...play both to gain different feel!
