As for me.. I chose Medieval III from the list.

I'd prefer a Late Medieval/Early Modern game focused around the Renaissance, with an enormous map. Something similar to the classic Europa Universalis setting. It was an incredibly eventful time period and often overlooked in games. Finally we'd see some mixed units. Spanish tercios, Polish winged hussars, cossack wagons. What's there not to like?

Hopefully Late Antiquity/Early Medieval will be covered in Rome II's expansion.

An age of discoveries (like from 1453 or 1444 to the late 1700's) would be awesome. Stop the ottomans, colonize the americas, finish the reconquista (or continue it!), unite the german principalties to form an empire, pay back the mongols as Muscovy, etc. This would surely rule!

Of course a really ancient game (like with Babylon, Assyria, Egypt, Phoenicia, Minoan Crete) would rule as well as a dark age setting. (later then BI: uniting England with Alfred the Great, stop the muslim conquest with Byzantium or the khazars, unite the HRE to stop magyar raids, or settle as magyars, start the reconquista, or defend as Al Andalus).

Based on the information I have as of today, the next total war game after Rome 2 will be Total War: Gnörke. Trust me!
I read this so called Bible, and found it to be a third rate story in which this so called 'jesus' is nothing more than a shameless lampooning of Brian, which has inspired joy and laughter in millions.

    Voted for Empire2
But I would prefer a new Era like Dark Ages (500 to 1080), Renaissance (1450 to 1650) or one set between 1830 and 1920.
Not to mention an Asian setting like a Mongol:TW dealing with Genghis Khan and Kubilai Khan.

A game with the Renaissance and the Reformation would be amazing I think, dark ages seem good too. Empire needs another shot within the next few years though I would say.

Another Empire, but with the Napoleon Total War feel. But after playing Napoleon, a Victoria Total War would interest me now, really open for anything except for Shogun 3, Rome 3 or anything set in the Dark Ages.

Why? I'd personally like to have it set in 1500, 1600, 1800 and 1700. (multiple campaigns.)

Either Renaissance, with a focus on colonialism and exploration, or Victorian era a la Victoria 2.

Total War: Renaissance would be a huge undertaking though, map of at least the Americas, Europe, and coastal Africa. After how big Rome 2 is turning out to be I don't think they would want to do that again.

Victoria 2 would be like an empire 2 in many ways.

If CA did make another Empire, I'd personally like it to start somewhere around 1500.

    first half of the 1600s:
30 Years War, British Civil War, Persian-Ottoman conflicts, Polish-Russian hostilities, European powers trying to get their share of the Americas etc. So the map would be like in Empire, but much more detailed regarding provinces and settlements.

The Three Kingdoms era in China. 184-280ish C.E. Perhaps include other regions around China during the period, including Mongolia, Korea, Vietname, and possibly India and the eastern Middle-east? Good Turbulent period with many interesting events.

    It would be great IMO.
