Installation Instructions of DarthMod 8.0
The installation procedure is simple.
DarthMod 8.0 “Dark Edition” is a double mod for both RTW and BI. So according to your purchased game here is what you do:
You have bought Rome:Total War BI?
-Have a clean install of Rome: Total War
-Then install BI (Which is by default 1.4 version)
-Then patch it to 1.6 by downloading the patch from the official site (http://www.totalwar.com)
-Open the installation pack and target it to install to where your main RTW-BI game file is :
(For example: C:\games\Activision\Rome - Total War)
and not C:\games\Activision\Rome - Total War\data = wrong)
Important!The installer will first have a default installation path in a 'programs' file (not 'program files').IGNORE IT and manually browse as per your custom installation.This is a common mistake that an anxious player does prior to installing
By the end of installation you are ready to enjoy DarthMod to both RTW and BI .
You have not bought Rome:Total War BI?
-Have a clean install of Rome: Total War
-Then patch it to 1.3
-Then patch it to 1.5
(by downloading the patches from the official site http://www.totalwar.com )
-Open the installation pack and target it to install to where your main RTW game file is :
(For example: C:\games\Activision\Rome - Total War)
and not C:\games\Activision\Rome - Total War\data = wrong)

Installation Instructions of DarthMod 8.1 Patch Final
After successful Installation of DarthMod 8.0 (Better to test first that you have managed it), you do the following:
-Open the installation exe of DarthMod 8.1
-Manually browse to find yourself where you have installed DarthMod 8.0 as per previous instructions
-Install over it again with similar structure:
(For example: C:\games\Activision\Rome - Total War)
and not C:\games\Activision\Rome - Total War\data = wrong)
Then you are ready to play DarthMod_8.1 with unequalled gameplay challenge!
Note:Those who have started campaigns with open beta 8.1 can still install over it with save game combatibility.
