    I reinstalled over it which works just have to install the patch again
    The crashes only happen in the Europa 270bc:
    When i press "Continue Campaign" from 270bc (CTD before loading screen appears)
    When I load "autosave" from 270bc (CTD when loading screen apears)
    When I load any saved game that is from 270bc (CTD when loading screen apears)

    hmmmm as I said above install the patch again and see if that fixes it, if not then you might have to re-install R:TW+8.0+8.1

    seems like you are just getting corrupted saves, if you save manually to different save names that might fix the CTD issue

    for instance, every 2-4 turns save to "save 1" then after another 2-4 turns save to "save 2" so on and so forth, so that if the latest save won't load then you can (hopefully) just load a previous save

    Well alls well I have no idea why they crashed but hopefully it doesnt happen again all the saved files work but just in case when i save im making new saves but hopefully i wont crash again

    having 3-4 different save files should help you if you have the problem again

    I have something to ask,
    Why Spartans and some other Greek units fight only with spear (they don't use sword), is thet happening only to me or...!?

    When playing Gaul, the building browser shows that you can build tier 4 and 5 temple of horse (with a placeholdder buiding image).
    Should be fixed by changing in \data\export_descr_buildings.txt the line that reads
    Code:
    temple_of_horse_awesome_temple
    to
    Code:
    temple_of_horse_awesome_temple requires factions { }
    and the line
    Code:
    temple_of_horse_pantheon
    to
    Code:
    temple_of_horse_pantheon requires factions { }

    I have downloaded everything and i have been trying to unzip and put DARTHMOD in My Rome game but i cant do it.I have never used mod's.At 1 stage i was trying to add the mod to the disc hahhaha

    just installed this mod and holy crap is the ai good. i am having to completly re-do my tactics. what used to be average battles are now so difficult i must train.

    Hi,

    i tested the darth mod, but i think it doesnt work on my system. I click on something in the darth-mod-menu, but there is no sign, that my choice is taken??? The bottons are red and dont turn green or something. There is a little star on for example off and after choice on, the star is still at off? There is no sign my choices are taken. Dont know what is on, what is off? It must be damaged on my system.
    How can i see which tuning is on and off????????

    Great mod, thx.

    I've tried different settings for the roman campaign and seem to enjoy M/M best. With hard for battles archers can still destroy cavalry which just isn't right imo. Hard or more for campaign leads to everyone at war with stack after stack coming. That can get old real quick as sometimes you just want to build rather than non stop war.

    I guess I wish VH campaign would mean when you are at war they can send a lot after you in an aggressive way by actually trying to destroy you, but when at peace they leave you alone. Then you could have hard wars but also peace when you want it. Still, with your improvements in AI, M/M will be quite fun with a few house rules set in place.

    @ For anyone else:
    I have CTD problem. I am using Aeger Romanus: Large Map submod and the moderator is not responding to my posts so perhaps somone here will know what I am talking about.

    Here is little more information about CTD
    It happens during 18 or 19 turn (320 turns remaining) during the winter and it crashes once it begin to process Britannia faction.
    So I manipulated my spy to Britania capital to take closer look. Perhaps there is bug to be found?

    At the Capital are:
    - Faction leader Barrivendos
    - Faction hair Belenus
    - two units of warband spearmen

    West of capital and besieging rebel settlement Dumnoniorum (which is about to fall) are 3 Britannian family members (generals (Cynfawr, Sennianus and Calpornus)with one warband unit)
    In the rebel setelment are two different units of warband spearman (one looks like the one Britanians can recruit and other looks like the one that can be recruited by rebels).

    To see if there is CTD in that "event" I used cheat buy adding mecr elephants to rebels and than the game doesn't crashes??? Is it problem with rebels or with Britons???

    Does anyone knows what is going on here?

    PS I added recruitable elephants to Arrentium. Then when I get swarmed at home by so many rebels I can plow the bastards

    Yo, I started a Provincial Campaign. The Roman one (very bottom). Is there supposed to be unlimited ammo? Why is there no fire at will? And fatigue is disabled entirely. Were these all intentional? Or did I mess something up? Need to alter a specific file or something?
    I do like the skins and larger map. But these bits are very 'game-breaking' to me. It makes it nearly impossible for my Army to defeat Pyrrhus. And other than that. The enemy troops also feel severely over-powered compared to my own. The first I thing I really did was send in my Velite to take out his elephants. Which they mostly did. With my Triarii and Cavalry to protect them. But my two Equites couldn't even stand up to one unit of their Missile Cavalry. And when our lines clashed. Even when enveloping them (for some reason they used their missile troops as melee units, to somewhat prevent my flanking [which oddly worked, as my men were to distracted to keep attacking the flank, and had to focus on them], but the Archers and Peltasts proved even better matched against my Hastati.) there was nothing I could do to stop them.

    The few things I really love about this mod. Is that building ques have remained generally unchanged and the game runs virtually the same as Vanilla. Which is what I really want in mods. The familiar feelings lets me easily jump into it. But you start out at war with just about everyone and their grandmother. Geez, I know Rome stepped their shoes into everyone's toilets but come on. A challenge is fun, but this mod is like jumping off a large building and not dying when you hit the ground. (no offense). Are there any fixes to make this more 'playable'?

    You're playing the game in Arcade Mode. That means that at the campaign selection, You checked the box that says "Arcade mode", which includes all the problems you mentioned in the first paragraph.

    If you still experience the problems with unfairness after you have the arcade mode fixed, let us know.

    Well. I've no idea how I may have ended up in Arcade Mode. But that does seem to be the issue. On another note. I fought the battle again. I managed to Kill Pyrrhus, and about half his army. Losing all of mine. Dem phalanxes. Gotta be a way to beat them. I pummel them from all sides. My guys get exhausted, his just get winded. I don't get it. Oh well. Maybe some other time.

    Are you playing the battles on vh? If so, the enemy gets a significant attack, defense and morale bonus that is very noticeable in Darth Mod. Try playing on Medium, and it's gonna be a lot more fair.

    I was on Medium. I'm quite positive I made sure of that. But what do I know. I thought Arcade mode was off the first time. I think the default settings are Medium Medium anyway, and I never touched it. I attest to that. But still. I recon the Epirotes probably should have won anyway. That's how History was working. But they crushed me pretty hard. A little too hard. So I think I need more experience with my units. Knowing just how much they can take. I would try spamming his flank, but those pikemen really hold their ground. Even on an uphill slope. Hitting them from behind works well. But they turn around and my guys get pushed back. I can only think that hitting them like a Newton's Cradle is the only tactic that could really break them. But by the time I could pull it off, I'd be surrounded by the rest of em. And constantly pelted by their missile units.

    I didn't notice any particularly grand tactics from AI. But with troops this hardy, I'd be pretty laid back too. They aren't called Epirotes for nothing. Thanks for the help though. If anyone can point me in the way of a Strategy guide for this campaign, I'd love to see it.
