Thanks guys progress has been really slow of late thanks to the school holidays. However, I see a window in the cloud lined heavens beginning to open. I actuaally opened the mod today and did some text work.
At this stage I would have to say the next Preview will be ready on Friday the 8th of February

Come now that isn't far, modders have RL and considering the amount of work done already I'm sure we can all manage to wait until The Border Reiver is ready.
Greetings and good health to the West March Mosstrooper. After playing Kingdom of the Scots 3 ( the best mod by far across the Total War series) I am looking forward to the release of K.O.Isles, especially after KOT3 kept crashing after the first spawn of Longshanks. (Around 1293) I was wondering if in this mod you will be able to fix something that no other mod in existence has yet done...force the dognam AI into repairing its experienced units and walls!!! There is nothing more heartbreaking than facing a a full stack where half the units have around 2-10 men in them. I had a go at editing the .xml files and increasing the priority percentage settings to no avail. Apart from that if I could lend hand to speed development I would...I am a mere fan. In the name of Scotland's Wives and Daughters!!!

I agree with GRANTO, I wouldn't worry too much, TBR was posting about new recruitment in September, so clearly he had plans to continue the mod.
I'm certainly very excited for this mod, and I can't wait to hear more updates in the future!
