Cannot get DM 4.2+++ to start

I recently installed the newest version of DM for SG2, and the launcher will not start up the game. I used the normal steps for installing the mod as usual, must be something small I am missing. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Try uninstalling the mod before any update, it makes sure you get the clean install. So think about that, otherwise try these:

1. Make sure you restart your computer.

2. See to it that steam is up and running online.

3. Also be sure to verify the intergrity of the game cache if nothing else.

No go. I uninstalled the mod from shogun and verified cache, and then installed the mod as normal, restarted as well and it I click the link, the launcher comes up, but when I hit play, nothing happens.

Probably by doing this
FIRST OPEN THE STEAM CLIENT (or you get a CTD)

Well I opened steam and just clicked play on Shogun in the steam mode, and it had a little update it needed to do, then I closed it out, and launched from the DM launcher

Yes it is hah. We tend to over complicate things too much, when in fact, the easy way is usually the right way.
