if i change the EDU files to enable 0 turn recruitment, will the AI be able to take advantage of it?

Ive tested it and they dont really spam that much since the upkeep cost in TE is different from SPQR. Be assured that the AI will still function(and can make the game more challenging) as expected.

Has the Unit upkeep been downed since last update?

In 4.0 all unit costs were doubled I believe, and I liked it because the battles were seriously very needed to keep your empire expanding.

Were the upkeeps reduced from 4.0 to 5.0?

does kinda destroy the mods' aim thosugh to have fewer, more decidive battles, but becuase of the upkeep the AI does tend to take advantage!

Favre, upkeep costs and recruitment costs are still high in 5.0, and some have been increased from 4.0.

Oh, because for some reason I can field very large armies and keep my citites in the positives. As rome in 4.0 I could only field like 1 pre-marian legion at the beginning but now i can field like 2 pre-marian legions keeping my cities in the positives. Odd
