ETW crash between turns

HI!

I am doing a campaign with the British Empire and it is crash at the turns 70,80,90 (can't remember), I just remember that the crash appears after the playable factions made their turn.



And I am began to be desperate

Is it really a crash or the ai just "taking forever"? Which faction?

I am at the turn 76 I press the end of the turn, when it is prussia the game freezes. I then press the ctrl+esc and then i see that the empire total war stops working

Trn 76 is about where this happens and it depends on who you're playing as as to which faction does it.
Marantha, Ottoman, and Russia come to mind.
How long did you wait? Ten minutes can be to short.
Oh, yeah, at times because of no disc or mouse activity, Windows will report that and things are still moving in RAM.

So what to do?

Also what is the last version of the game? MY is 1.5 and more numbers is correct?

Second question = you have the last update.

First question = "Have a good book handy" from a member at .Com from right after the game was released.

So my campaign is lost forever?

It's not lost. It just takes time. Possibly more time than you're willing to spend.

But when I wait it crash and some times i don't need to wait 1 minute while is stuck in prussia

What is your windows version?
32bit or 64bit?
With this error, it makes a big difference and it all revolves around memory.

I don't konow what I did but now its working!! I can play...

Also I did that first thing yesterday but still it was crashing.

I remember to shut down my antivirus Norton Internet Security and the game is running now.... could that be the problem?


Also what is the game booster?

Norton can be as it and Steam are not friends.
In Steam's FAQ, it is listed along with Free AVG and others.

Have the Pirates re-emerged after being destroyed? There is a bug which will end a campaign if the faction controlling Cuba and/or Hispanola is destroyed. Either or both will restart the pirate faction. On the following turn the game will crash if nothing is done.

The problem seems (to me anyway after several occurances) to be that the end marker on the faction icon turn is not reset so the Pirate faction icon will not display. After a short time the game just crashes. It will do so on the turn following the one where the faction controlling the two regions is destroyed. You have just the one turn to capture either or both. If you can't then your campaign is over.

There are also other reasons but this is the one that has caused me the most problems. It usually happens late in the game.
