Default LotP's 'Breastly' Breastplate Retexture for Carolingian General

I don't know about you guys, but that goofy thing on the General's breastplate killed my boner bad. With all due respect to the hard work of mod team, I had made a mini-mod that removes it and makes it look like a normal piece of armor. I edited the diff and norm files.

    Here's a pictograph:

I have no idea if this is historically accurate or not.

Download the attached file on this post, and drag the 'data' folder inside the zipfile into your 'Last_Kingdom' mod folder, you will have to overwrite the files. MAKES BACKUP OF THOSE TWO FILES IF YOU WISH TO REVERT TO ORIGIONAL FILES.

    Credits:
    TLK Team for original texture.

    The End.

Any chance you could put up a comparative picture of the original? I personally have no idea what it looks like

Yeah a breastplate is highly inaccurate for the year 865 CE

I'm guessing the original is actually meant to be leather?

    Thx for this!

It's really good, very down-n'-dirty look I find. The original is very ornate, and I don't think it's too far a stretch to imagine a Frankish F.M. wearing some kind of breast-plate. It looks like it's made of bronze or brass kinda, its not inconceivable that nobles -esp inheritors of Charmlemagne's legacy - could have exotic type of armor. Its not rank and file soldiers here...

but as for armors, the Frankish military laws, had some part about a "Bernie" and it was some kind of torso/chest armor. They were strictly forbidden from selling, trading, or allowing these armaments to fall into non-frankish hands. It was probably some kind of very well-built metal disc armor, but something was special about it.

Neway, great job and I think it's a great fit in the game. If anything it could even just be lacquered or painted Leather Armor on top - Cuille Boiller or wte the french say "boiled leather".
