    Default Changing Family Member Names

I apologize if this is in the wrong forum, however I've done some searching and this appears to be the right place. After extensive research and much frustration, I cannot seem to change families without a CTD. I'm attempting to transform the Numidia faction into an Epirus faction. I've taken Pyrrhus and added him in descr_names to Numidia, but when I take out Syphax (the vanilla name for the Numidia faction leader) and put in Pyrrhus, I get a CTD every time, no matter what I do. Any thoughts? Many thanks.

I've done that. I edited the descr_names (added Pyrrhus to Numidia), and I'm not adding a new name (Pyrrhus is already in the game), so I didn't need to edit descr_names_lookup or the names folder. Am I missing something in descr_strat. Is the only place I need to add the name Pyrrhus in the actual character spot (where the army is) and in the relative spot, showing his wife, etc? I did not edit his wife's name, would that be an issue? Thanks again.

You could try and use this tool: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/downl...o=file&id=2657

Also, have you put -show_err in your RTW shortcut? It'll give an error message so you have something to work with which helps a lot if you have no clue what is wrong with the edits you did.
