Expansions and gold editions of popular strategy games will reach retail in Germany

Epsom, UK, September 6, 2012 – The German distributor dtp entertainment and expert strategy game publishers Slitherine and Matrix Games are proud to announce future co-operations. In the third quarter of 2012, dtp is going to distribute well-known titles such as Panzer Corps and Distant Worlds in several different editions. Gamers will be happy to know that expansions and special editions of the games will be available as well.

First of all, Panzer Corps fans, and anyone who wants to join the party, can look forward to the long-awaited add-on Panzer Corps: Afrika Korps, which will be published as a stand-alone game. In addition dtp entertainment will also publish 4 successful add-on packs, Panzer Corps’ Grand Campaigns ’39 - ‘42. The Panzer Corps: Gold Edition will pack a punch for those who want to have the full Panzer Corps experience as this edition features both the full game of Panzer Corps as well as the 4 Grand Campaigns ’39 - ’42 in one box.

dtp entertainment will also publish the first add-on to the highly-successful space strategy game Distant Worlds: Return of the Shakturi. Fans of the full version of Distant Worlds will love Return of the Shakturi as it brings new campaigns, tons of improvements, new units, and lots more. For the full Distant Worlds experience, players who have waited until now will be able to get both the full game as well as the expansion in the brand-new Distant Worlds: Gold Edition.

With Legends of War, dtp entertainment will publish the German version of the latest upcoming title from Slitherine’s strategy stable. Legends of War features brilliant graphics, a huge diversity of units and focuses on the best-known military campaigns and generals of WW2. Legends of War will be released on PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation Vita.

Hey Zimoa! Is there any news about panthers in the fog? also have you guys not thought about using steam to reach a wider audience, especially when it comes to releasing PITF, i suspect there alot of my generation who have forgotten about the CC series and such, and probably would be pleasantly surprised to see it buyable from steam. Especially with the recent retro game fever on steam atm. Also looking forward to more news on the future of CC and 3D style you guys want to adopt which would actually be really neat. Close combat still trumps company of heroes any day of week.

Close Combat: Panthers In The Fog is in full Beta testing and things are proceeding on schedule, all is set for a fall release.

On Steam Greenlight, we are looking at it at the moment, on a side note Strategic War in Europe is up at Greenlight and we are curious how it will do.

Panzer Corps would also be a possible good candidate, we just will wait and see, evaluating the market carefully.

I did check out Strategic War in Europe before you mentioned it, i think to appreciate it though, you would have be a tabletop fan, since it seems made for a niche market. Ill be honest haven't bought PanzerCorp yet, but is on my wish list, and yes wouldn't mind seeing it on steam, so i could nab it in the sales Could do very well, and may interest some paradox fans, since it seems like familiar ground and has realtime.

Close Combat on steam, would be very good, the multiplayer has alot of potential, especially if players can interact in a lobby to setup games, the multiplayer campaign is still very advance even for now imo, simple but genius, and best of all next to no bugs. The same way Paradox games have there hard hitting heavy titles that gain there following like Mount & Blade, Victoria 2, Crusader Kings, i think Close Combat can appeal to RTS fans who play Company Of Heroes, and don't like the zerg rushing(command & conquer feel), seeking a better combat simulation, while the natural next stage of evolution for a player would be to try gameS like Panzercorp, commanding at a higher level, and trusting command to the ai. Somthing that would appeal to alot of paradox gamers i believe. Since it seems like familiar ground. I personally only got into Paradox games Like Victoria 2, HOI3, because of Mount and Blade, and joining a community that are involved in playing paradox titles, so by word of mouth aswell has just wanting to try another title from the same distrubtors.
