This mod is certainly worth a first post, it all looks extremely promising!

Slaughtering "Romans" with slavs will really cool me down after the disappointing release that's called Rome 2: Total Waste

So will this mod have thematic Byzantine units then?

Well, I think I said earlier that I will try and implement a marian reform to the roman units and give them a more thematic look and feel but I'm pretty sure that there was little change in the overall look to the roman units between the 8th and 10th centuries when Nikeforos Phocas reformed the army and made it the "Byzantine" Army we think of when thematic units are mentioned, but who knows.

Sounds very interesting, there are some really knowledgeable people on this forum Pompeis Magnas from Age of Darkness is the man I would ask about Roman military/political changes from late antique to early medieval period.

Sorry everybody, I have been slacking off and playing too much RIITW to be working as effectively as I can but rest assured it's still on and hope to have something for you all by the end of the week.

"End of the week" I take it your referring to a preview and not a release

PS Looking forward to this you, from what I can tell have put a fantastic level of work into this.+REP is sadly all I can do to show my gratitude.

PPS. Let us hope one day this side of Christmas, some serious modding tools are available for Rome II

So here are the two pics based on what Naddum described on what these units would look like. I am trying to get to work and put these in 3d but I have been so busy plus I have been spending all of my free time playing RII Total War, (Heresy! )

But don't fret I am taking the time to get myself motivated enough to have most of the roster done by December but as the holidays are upon us it is difficult to balance everything, so please take these as a sign of my commitment as well as a small piece of what is to come. Again thank you for your patience and I hope to share something really soon.

They may still have not found that gentlemen that seems to be the only one that knows how to upload the installer. Lolbut it doesn't seem like it will be out anytime soon mind you it's only a submod campaign ( the Danube limes) one post I saw they said 6 more months left. Last year at this same time they said the submod was about finish just a "few more months" that was a year ago!

    Hi guys,

Currently there is no ETA on when DL will be released, no one has any idea. We'll keep you updated.
