Looks pretty good.
i ve been living little problems about shields.i know their shield model no problem.
but i am in need of shield textures.i just know the shape of shields.is it leather, metal, wooden or what?if anyone have info share with me.
second version i created.there is no place in my texture file.its hard to make a third variety.but its with hell of detail.if m2tw would let me use particul hair and sculpts he would act in latest game as well.

Looking good. But how did you manage not to have room in your texture?
Also, I'd suggest taking a look at how lamellar armour is constructed. Those strips of leather running across the armour appear to be sort of random when you look at the actual metal plates. Have you been thinking of giving him a lamellar helmet as well? I'm sure there's more room in your texture for that.

There a miniature based in the F1 of the picture of osprey about the gokturks:http://swordmaster.org/uploads/2010/..._warrior03.jpg
This guy is a tarkan a "hero" of the gokturks:
Osprey Description:
Türgish `tarkan´champion 7th century : Among warriors shown in the Piandjikent wall-paintings, one is so magnificently attired that he must either be a mythical hero or tarkan champion, though his equipment is basically the same as that of over heavily armoured Transioxanian warriors. Even his `lion´s head sleeves are seen in the art of eastern Turkestan amd may be the reality behind the `lion-skin cuirass´of the medieval Persian hero, Rustam. The man´s weaponary consists of composite bows, a large dagger and a long straight sword with a particulary fine `chip-carved´gilded broze grip.
And like these guys were heavy calvary his horse his horse could wear this armour:
I think that an unit of these tarkans coul be very cool.
