    Default Arthurian:TW - July Preview

Some more images of the map:

    Historical sites...

The invaders are not the only danger. The Frankish conquest on the mainland is part of the scenery... as a far threat, but not for all the playable factions...

Ahh those are some sweet screenshots. The map really is fantastic an the units look great aswell. I see you got those germanic berserkers...Wolfbyrnies into the game they do look great wouldnt be something id want to meet on a battlefield. They sort of remind me of the film the 13th Warrior. Fantastic work

Very nice when will it be available for download?
Yeh any idea when it will be ready for public beta testing?or do you need anymore people for the private beta testing?

Take it Agreas is the one in change of the private beta?

Well done Swabian, good preview screenshots.

Yes we are working hard on this at the moment, and although it is fully playable, with very few missing cards and descriptions....there is still a lot we are adding into the game. There is still a fair bit of testing to get done.

I think that was sposed to be Hadrian's wall an i was actually weondering about that earlier aswell. Are there anymore historical sities on the map apart from Stonehenge? an i take it they give bonuses like the wonders did in RTW?

They were used in those battles, yes. But i'm afraid they're not descernible in those screenshots. Great work btw.

Ok.. yes, Hadrian's Wall is also included. I was a bit irritated because, funnily, those models are created by an artist that also calls herself/himself 'Palissa' on the ATW developement boards

How does the hadrians wall work? is it like a normal wall? or is it a series of fort like things or is it just a wonder? and doest have any tactical meaning?

Yes guys, as mentioned Palissa is our man for modelling and he will have the pleasure of working on, not 2 but 7 wonders for the campaign map which will probably include:

    1. Stonehenge
    2. Hadrians wall
    3. Clava Cairns in Inverness
    4. Cerne Abbas Giant of Dorset
    5. White Horse of Uffington
    6. Lough Derg in Ireland
    7. Barnenez Cairn in Brittany

@the general, Hadrians wall is proving harder to model.....(actually i have put it on the back burner), it will be a wall linked by a series of forts. It may also be a series of wall sections with forts.

Sounds good. But i was wondering how you are goin do Lough Derg? seems abit strange to do a lake as a wonder/historical site

As for Hadrians wall i take it will ofcourse be going though more than one province? an i take it thats the problem that you still have to although for movement so it cant just be a solid wall. Perhaps in each pronvince the wall has to pass though you have one little section shown on the map so it doesnt block movement movement totalally but does restrict it an then to defend it its will be up to the player or the ai to defend the gaps in it so that gets rid of the problem of trying to us forts for it.
