    Default Turn time reaching 5 minutes

    I have a super computer with 3 seperate hardrives my C being a SSD and D(Used for my games) Im rocking 16 gb of ram and a monster graphic card on 3 TB. Obviously i have enough processors to hang in a Christmas tree.

    But when i start SS6.4 late as TO the turns start taking along long long time. on my old computer for another SS version i was down to 30 seconds or so.

    Help? How do i get rid of this Lagg.

    The longer the game progresses the slower the turns get. Theres really nothing to do about it. Just the nature of the beast. The game itself is processing a metric butt ton of information and moves and auto calcs and building construction and unit recruitment and agent management.... it's a handful mate.

    SS turn times are longer because of a lot of scripts. You can reduce turn time by taking out scripts which you think are not necessary. You can find the scripts located at data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign\campaign_script.txt.

    MIITW can only utilise x1 processor. So even if you have 20 processors of low Ghz; lets say in the range of 3.0Ghz, the game will be slow. GPU and RAM also help.

    I find that, if I always sacrifice my King's 2nd born child to the god Hermes... turn speed will improve for awhile

    Does anyone know how to assign a processor? for the game specifically.

    Im helpful for all ideas and suggestions.

    Turn off "Follow AI movement" and delete some scripts.

    He already as 16GB of RAM, me thinks that he as enough.

    I have AMD Phenom Quad Core with 4GB RAM, Turn time is about 1 minute around Turn 200, so if your is 5 mins, something else is going on.

    I would go into Task Manager, see what processes are running behind the scene and what CPU usuage is.

    Have you tried putting MTW2 PLUS SS in the C drive?

    Also check out your Virus Software, I had an anti virus, that seriously slowed up my computer

    No, it's just an old joke site. But hey, in the future it might be possible with 3d printers and stuff. Download the blueprint and print out your RAM.

    I think i might be able to help you. There is a huge spanish Total War forum called "la hermandad de la guardia" (something like the "the guard's brotherhood", whatever), and looking around i came up with this thread:

    Among another thing, he offers this page http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php wichs basically expands your virtual ram memory (virtual, not fisical, there is a large explanation given in the thread of why this work, but its really long and i dont feel like translating it, any spanish speaking users are free to check it, its the 5th answer).
    Now im currently at work so i havent been able to try this out, but i will when i get home, in the meantime you are free to try it (it has work out greatly for the spanish fellas according to their replys). What you have to do is, once downloaded and installed, apply the patch to te game's Launcher, and that should do it, i'll inform again once i have tried it.

    Turn off "Follow AI movement" and delete some scripts.
    What scrips would that be?

    My SSD drive currently have 2GB of space remaining its a constant thorn in my side it keeps depleting. Even when i delete everything i can find it i still end up with only 4-5 gb of free space.

    Princess notification script, capital fall script, king death script and the like. For me turn time drops dramatically if I turn off "Follow AI movement".
