If they make an Empire Total War the Era should be from 1500-1800. The whole map should be the whole world which includes Australia and Japan.

Not only that all factions deserve their uniqueness with their strengths and weaknesses. Also native people should be represented too in the continents they live.

After that, they have to add the wind effect on power of the waves. Then the rain effect on water. Then they have to add the special graphic effects for each season, weather and wave strength, and finally add the ship effect which makes the ship tilt and turn and drift along the wave.

Shogun II added some new things which are usually found in areas close to land: snowfall. I don't know if Empire had it, Napoleon probably did. Snow fell in sea battles and you could see the water going white. And also snow could be seen on the hats and cloths of the crew, just as in a land battle.
Good thing they spent all that time working on the appearance of water. That helped prevent a terrible AI from infilitrating the Campaign, Battle, and Seige maps. It stopped the AI from deploying cannon ineffectually. It stopped single cavalry units from charging an entire massed formation over and over until all the cavalry is gone. It stopped units from breaking from a direct path up a wall to forming a line and walking all the way around a fortress through the defenses. It stopped the AI from building fleets of trade ships that sit in port.

    But yeah, waves and stuff.

The only difference between the expression of an opinion and an incitement in the narrower sense is the speaker's enthusiasm for the result. Eloquence may set fire to reason." -Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr.

You probably already know that their AI programmer abandoned the project in between, when Empire's development was going well. This is where the problems started.

I'm debating whether or not to buy it for Mac. My system requirements are above the specifications, and I've been running M2TW and mods through Crossover Games over the last year. I played the Feral Interactive port of Rome Total War and I have to say they actually improved some stuff in the port with some bugfixes. There was an interview with a guy from Feral about Empire on the Mac and he said they did about 6 months to a years worth of bug fixing. Not just bugs that occurred solely on the beta version of the mac port, but bugs in general. He also said they did something with the AI, and seeing as how CA was backing them up through the whole process I wouldn't be surprised if the port had some extra bug fixes in it.

Definitely yes. You could make a poll so we can see what the community thinks.

Yes, but only after they get another iteration of the engine to be more capable. I will forever be livid with the joke of a siege mechanic in Empire and NTW. They got lazy with it.

I would like to see it much larget in scope and maybe a different sort of colonizing mechanic. Too clear cut for me, I would like to see some actual colonizing. Diplomacy needs an overhaul too.

I buy every TW title so, they already have my money. I would prefer to see a Medieval III first and then an Empire II running from say 1650 to maybe 1850 and the expansion running to perhaps 1900.

I would also gladly pay double for this game.
