The wu-tang clan comes in the next book
The wu-tang clan comes in the next book
Here are my 2 cents ...
Last book should have been named "Time for wolves" before being changed to "A Dream of Spring". Now, this at first seemed like the wolves will finally rise and take their place in the seven kingdoms ... but not necessarily. The children of the forest say to Bran:
"... The great lions of the western hills have been slain, the unicorns are all but gone, the mammoths down to a few hundered. The direwolves will outlast us all, but their time will come as well. In the world that men have made, there is no room for them, or us."
So after "contemplating" it for a while, my thinking is that the time for wolves (to leave this world) will pretty much come in the last book. The wolves will be extinct and the Starks along with them. They (the Strarks and their wolves) will probably play pivotal role in repelling the Others along with Daenerys and her dragons (btw, from the TV series, although Dany's visions in the House of the Undying completely differs from the books, it still seems that she will be in King's Landing when winter comes and she will be reunited with her husband and child - in other words she dies), with either Jon or Stannis becoming AA (my bet is on Jon as AA, Stannis gets the Iron Throne or whatever is left of it).
All in all, at the end it seems pretty much an ending similar to LOTR. The age of men begins and everything magical in the world slowly disappears: the children of the forest, the unicorns, great lions, the others, direwolves, dragons etc. Also in line with Martin's statement of a "bittersweet" ending.
On the other hand, I'm probably becoming obsessed with the books by now and a bit looney!

Sansa, still legally married to Tyrion, has a natural son with Harrold, who dies in battle. Tyrion and Sansa are reunited and Tyrion accepts her son as his own, creating a heir for the North, the Riverlands, the Vale and the Westerlands. This son declared himself king, but unlike his uncle he succeeds and the above mentioned regions are his kingdom.
.. I think that's why Tyrion will accept Sansa's natural child as his own son, because he doesn't want to rape Sansa.
this is crazy guys. tyrion will not be with sansa.
Did you know Hitler was a vegetarian?
I think in the end, Jon Snow (Targaryen) and Daenerys Targaryen will rule the seven kingdoms together, with Tyrion Lannister as a hand of the king, and Bran Stark being a Warden of the North, with Rickon as his heir.
Why would Sansa want to marry Tyrion again who is a completely discredited figure in Westeros seeing that he murdered his father and supposedly killed Joffrey. Also the books won't span that many years, the year leap has been written out by GRRM and so far the timespan of each book is about 6 months to a year.
Also the child's inheritance are quite shaky:
Heir to the North what about: Bran, Rickon, possibly Jon
Heir to the Riverlands: What about Edmure Tullly and all his possible children with Roslin Frey, Robert Arryn, all the Freys and Baelish
Heir to the Vale: Possible because its only little Robert but will the lords of the Vale allow their little lord to be taken into the care of Tyrion Lannister (everyone thinks he is a monster in westeros)
Heir to the Westerlands: What about Cersei, Tommen and all those other Lannisters with strong claims which won't accept Tyrion seeing that he is a Kinslayer and not his adopted son which is not a Lannister.
I truly hope you were kidding
It's Mhaedros, the Troll of the North.
They wouldn't have to marry again, as they already are married. It wouldn't be about love or silly things, but a marriage for power. Sure, neither would like it, but they wouldn't have to.Why would Sansa want to marry Tyrion again who is a completely discredited figure in Westeros seeing that he murdered his father and supposedly killed Joffrey. Also the books won't span that many years, the year leap has been written out by GRRM and so far the timespan of each book is about 6 months to a year.
To be fair you wouldn't need that long a time to do what I said.
Bran and Rickon are "dead", Jon is in the Night's Watch (although this might change). Sansa has the best claim to the North as far as the lords of Westeros are concerned.Heir to the North what about: Bran, Rickon, possibly Jon
Fine, Edmure is still lord of the Riverlands, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't accept Sansa as his queen regent.Heir to the Riverlands: What about Edmure Tullly and all his possible children with Roslin Frey, Robert Arryn, all the Freys and Baelish
Sweetrobin is as good as dead. After him, Harrold Hardying will become lord.Heir to the Vale: Possible because its only little Robert but will the lords of the Vale allow their little lord to be taken into the care of Tyrion Lannister (everyone thinks he is a monster in westeros)
Didn't you read the Tyrion chapters in ADWD? Tyrion has hired the Second Sons, with the purpose to take Casterly Rock by force. Sure, it might not go that well, but he has the best claim on the Westerlands.Heir to the Westerlands: What about Cersei, Tommen and all those other Lannisters with strong claims which won't accept Tyrion seeing that he is a Kinslayer and not his adopted son which is not a Lannister.
I want to point out that I do not believe in this theory, it's more wishful thinking.
I like the theory more then most other theories here but it has some glitches. For example the Barristan chapters from The Winds of Winter gives away details suggesting that Tyrion and his second sons get the worst out of the situation during the siege of Mereen. Likely The Second Sons will not be in a good position after Victarion and his entire fleet combined with Ser Barristan makes shortwork of the Ghiscari nobles.
However Tyrion is GRRM's favorite character and he should be among the last ones breathing so anything can happen.
As for Deanerys + Jon it is very unlikely that they marry. Jon will be busy fighting the White walkers and he does not mean to breake his wows again even if he is resurected (at least i don't think so). Also I don't think he is over Ygritte and will not marry somebody out of politicly purpose. Also since it is proved that incest is bad for future heirs I think there will be no more incest going on in the series (if Jon is a Targ).
"Får jag kalla dig Bajen? Det är lättare att komma ihåg..."
also Bran and Rickon arent dead, their wolves make them recognisable
Did you know Hitler was a vegetarian?
But one is in a cave north of the wall, and the other is on an island filled with cannibals -_- Basically no one knows they're alive.
Considering this is GRRM, that doesn't mean they wont return ala Aegon style.
If having platinum hair is enough to say you're Aegon Targaryen, who turns didn't have his head and connected body bashed to a bloody, unrecognizable pulp, then having a huge Direwolf as well as resemblance to Catelyn and NEddard, as well as someone who would vouch for the would-be lordlings (Jon if he lives, Osha and the Reeds for Rickon and Bran respectively if they ever come back south) should be enough for everyone to go "Hey, turns out the Starks are alive and well"

What do you guys think of Robert Strong? Who the f * * * is he? Could he possibly be a zombified and headless version of Ser Gregor Clegane? They are both around 8 feet tall..
Thats the only reasonable explanation. No one else is that tall or strong, and should his identity be revealed, well the faith has their champion with the (un)Holy Sandor Clegane.
Isn't Sandor dead? I never quite understood what happened to him. Some say he's definitly dead, some that he's hidin somwhere.... any proofs or theories about his current whereabouts?
When Brienne went to the monks on the island on the Trident, there was a huge man working, and a huge horse in the stables. Its not confirmed its him, but its very likely.
Brienne chapter from AFFC. She visits the isle were the septons live and notices a man that fits Sandors description. Also a warhorse that resemble stranger (cleanes horse).
"Får jag kalla dig Bajen? Det är lättare att komma ihåg..."
.... "and then they all died. the end."...........
yesssssssss GRRM all men must die
i wonder if GRRM can get a few exotic animals to appear white walkers on mutant squirrels
