Early "undeclared" realm divide?

I'm playing as Naoe on Hard. Toyotomi supporter.

Currently at turn 12, doing nothing much except being engaged in a push and pull war with Honda. Then the next turn, 8 different factions declared war on me. One after another. Those that declared war for no apparent reason, even Chosokabae, a fellow toyotomi supporter declared war on me. Not to mention this faction is halfway across the map and I have totally no qualms with them.

Is this some form of diplomacy bug? Or am I doing things really wrongly to have everyone attack me for no good reason?

While I can't be entirely sure, it could have something to do with a lack of shroud for the minor clans. Fortunately, I've dealt with that and I'll be releasing an update including that very issue soon .

Well that's great to hear! Cause no matter how good a player is, fighting 8 clans at once at turn 13 is kinda overwhelming haha

I had something similar on my naoe campaign too. Not too sure how I managed to survive, but I kicked some ass. I think it has to do with having many nations at war with you and the fact at the start you are weak so other AI factions think you'll be easy pickings.

and the AI looooves that crafts province. It will try to take it no matter what.
