Notes :
The Hannover forces served with the Maritimes powers and were either in Netherlands or English pay.
These totaled six battalions of infantry, eight squadrons of horse and three of dragoons in Netherlands pay and eight battaltions of infantry, six squadron of horse and eight of dragoons in English pay.
The Hannoverian infantry were usually dressed in red with distinguishing regimental facing colours. Hat lace was gold or silver corresponding to yellow or white buttons.
With the exception of the Leibgarde, who wore red, the Hannoverian horse wore white with regimental colour distinctions.
By 1700 the skirts of the coat were turned back producing the turnbacks, which were later to be military fashion throughout Europe.
The cavalry hat was white felt until 1705 when the black tricorn was adopted.
Breeches and waistcoats for both horse and dragoons were of bright yellow leather.
Boots were brown at first then black.
Leib companies wore bearskin.
The cuirass was abolished in 1683.
In 1706 officers wore yellow sashes over the right shoulder.
Finally the artillery in 1700 wore red coats with blue cuffs and yellow lace, buff breeches and blue stockings.
