whenever i try to run the second part of 7zip it says can not open file as archive :s

You don't need to run part 2. Only run part 1 and then run the .bat file in the mod folder.

Sigh. Tried to open with Adobe being stupid and I ed it up, I don't think it will work at all now. Downloading and whatnot sucks.

Thi might help this is how I downloaded it
1. Download 7zip
2. Download part 1 and part 2 (blackfyre rebellion files)
3. On desktop right click (part 1) extract here once that is done
4. Cut and paste folder in medieval 2 mods folder
5. Click (blackfyre rebellion btch file and should work)

Sometimes when I download these submods they come in .pdf formats for a weird reason. If you edit the file extension to .rar or .zip it should fix it, it does for me

Now that I changed it to open with adobe it automatically downloads as that.

Okay so I changed the two files to rar. files and put them in a folder in the mods section of mtw2 but when I use the launcher by Squib it doesn't fill in the config. field.

I spent like 15 minutes crafting a custom battle recreation of the Battle of the Trident, but whenever I start it all the armies are just underwater and I automatically lose.... what's going on?

Not every custom battle map is working in this mod ,I believe.
Try Grassy Plains, this map always works for me

Did you extract the mod into the folder?
Try downloading WinRAR and extracting the mod into the mods folder. Then click on the .bat file, which should launch the game.

But I need the River Jordan map to do the Battle of the Trident!!!! :'(
Does anyone know where the map files are in the folder? If someone told me where they are couldn't I just copy and paste the working River Jordan one from another mod into the Blackfyre Rebellion mod folder and have it work??

I can´t extract partII. it says: "C:Users/.../Blackfyre_Rebellion.7z.002. The file is in unknown format or damaged"

Part 1 only needs to be extracted. Just run what's in the Blackfyre Rebellion folder then.

Is this ever getting an update? It's fun as now, but some kinks need some ironing out and it could be incredible.
